o.O Overkill on the crafting Dumb down?

Is it just me or does anyone feel like the real problem with crafting isn't any of the above but the fact that pressing the action button 30 000 times just isn't that fun?

I know that fishing in XI was the slowest to lvl but when the Fish did bite I felt like I was playing a game.

I agree with this as well. I usually craft when I'm doing something else. Like reading or watching a DVD.

Just seems wrong that we have to find something to entertain ourselves, while playing a game. My escape out of culinary grind is to play Final fantasy Tactics while pressing the action button with my foot on the game-pad. This can't be how it's supposed to be.
