Finding that after a few WoD runs it's easier to just assume you are solo healing unless proven otherwise. It's strange how crazy different each run can be. One run I had to heal pretty much constantly, another we wiped multiple times because the tanks decided to take the boss for a spin and fight over it and cleave us all to death randomly, and another where I swear no one got hit by a single AoE that could be avoided and stayed in Clerics Stance 95% of the time (usually just using Lustrate to heal)

Different raids can offer you a different challenge as can you fellow Healer. You can get a pretty good feel for how they want to play early on and how skilled they are. It all depends what job the other one is. Two WHM's will seek to stack up their HoT's and keep healing flowing through everyone while keeping the Tank up while if i get paired with a SCH and they go right into cleric stance i know they'll be wanting to use their DoT's and attack so i will be doing the large chunk of healing backed up by their fairy. You sort of get used to understanding what the other Healer is doing after a while you should learn to see the fight anyway and predict things like who will take damage next and will need a heal. You can see what the other Healer is doing and who they are healing, how often etc and be flexible enough to do what is needed. You can never heal too much though most people in DF measure you being a good Healer on how much MP you have left mid fight amusingly XD.

The thing "As a white mage, handle the party, scholars will handle tanks /warrior" is just killing me....
"Due to mana pool" >> seriously ? The only times I run OoM is when I have to (re)raise dps and tanks who keep dying over and over, and that happens like once every 6 months. If you run OoM for any other reason, then you aren't using Shrouds well. The time White Mages kept running OoM is long gone.
There is absolutely no standard rule about healing. The tank is obviously both healer's top priority. Other than that, it's just whoevers casts first. Having strict criterias about "who should be healing who" is gonna bite you in the a... eventually.

Tanks and healers first. Dps after. I always start a dungeon with the mindset that I dont know the other healer, so plan for the worst and hope for the best. Sometimes you can get a feel for the other heals by then end and work togeather well, sometimes its like you are fighting heals.

One thing to keep in mind. If a dps is dying more than a couple times in a boss fight, and its their fault. Leave them down, raise is expensive. The number of times I found myself out of mana, and the party wiping, before I learned to be a little more conservitive with my rasies, well, was too many times.

It's not that no one cares it's that you are the least required for team survival.

Well, yeah there is an order in theory, even for the dps :

    SMN(raiser) > Bards(Manasong/Peon) > Ninja (Goat)
I dont think there's a rule of thumb though, it can vary depending on the situation. If your cohealer was killed, raise him. If you have the choice next between a bard, and an smn, pick the bard first, he will regen your cohealer. SMN in case of multiple deaths.
