Certain weapons might be bound to each city like they are now and then again they might not be when you reach different ranks in your company. Let's say they are going to offer the best weapons in the game. I think its a good idea to keep them seperate so everyone doesn't have ultimate weapons on every class. I'm pretty sure they thought about how this would upset basically everyone especially for when they add new classes and jobs. If you LOVE Arcanist but your bound to a city that doesn't offer Arcanist gear your going to be sad. Save your energy and don't get too upset over something we have no information on besides what recruit level offers but keep voicing your opinion so if it does turn out that way we can pressure them into changing it.

I couldn't disagree with you any more. I don't think there is any reason for restricting available content in any way. Especially in a game that already has so little content. I, for one, am getting fed up with these temporary Quests and Achievements. To put it simply, it's not fair. Especially to the people who want to do this content but can't because it only occurs at completely random times and they have other things to do rather than stalk an NPC.

Forcing people to stay with one Company is going to make things ten times worse. People are going to dedicate Months to these companies because apparently the entire game will revolve around them. Then, when they finally get to the pinical of the Company rank they will get a big fat "Sorry the Item that is really awesome for your character is only available in another town. Deal with it!"

If a person wishes to put in the effort to accomplish everything in the game they should be aloud to do so.

Spoke to Yoshida about this to get an answer for you all. You can only belong to one Grand Company and once you join one officially you will be unable to switch allegiances. With that said, we'd like you to check out each of the Companies beforehand and decide which you want to pledge your allegiance to.

Well I hope they don't follow their usual [Expletive deleted] Modus Operandi and MAKE REWARDS EQUAL on all companies. Not just Gladiator Rewards on a certain company or Conjurer on another. Make the same sword stats and perhaps different design or color to match the companies.

Oh who am I kidding, it's Squeenix I'm talking about.

I really couldn't care less what class-specific gear a country has to offer.

"Oh wow look at that sword! That dude must be from Ul'dah what a badass! He's a real good chooser! What a great choice! I wonder if he hit the enter key with the index finger or ring finger when he was breaking out all that choosing skill?"

Even if the items have some sort of amazing(doubtful) stats it's not worth having such a lame plot move as letting you join all the companies, that's ridiculous. Reputation is one thing but allegiances should be handled differently. People have multiple 50s and enjoy several jobs at different times, if they don't have every company weapon to play it with I don't think they'll cry themselves to sleep over it.

Why not a system that allows you to buy 'imported' items from other companies, at a higher seal cost? So lets say for instance you join the GC in Limsa Lominsa, but in Gridania you can buy a great Archer Bow for 50k seals. Make it so that that there is a black market contact in each GC (You can even have a questline to gain his trust) who will sell you items from other GC's, but at a higher cost.

Also if there should be repeatable quests for Company seals at all times, even if they are on a timer or added into a leve system, there should always be ways to continue to gain seals, especially when you consider consumable items on these GC Vendor lists.
