Did my retainers disappear from the market board?

I'm pretty sure a retainer won't unlist items unless ALL items on that retainer go unsold for a sufficient amount of time. I've lost track of the number of times when I check my retainer only to find that something I put up as much as a YEAR before has finally sold.

the limit is a week for the retainer himself, not for the items in his sell slots.
If the 7 days end without that you called your retainer to put something in his inventory or put something to sell and send him back to the market after it, then the retainer get removed from the market until you call him again and send him back to the market.

i think his price listing was the norm and he was sat there for a while, and people were buying it for double what he had it listed for.

Like others have stated, you must check in with your retainer once a week or they stop selling. This happens quite often for some people in my FC.

Well the window I'm showing is not checking the market prices, its checking the market history. And sense my stuff didn't sell, that's why my name isn't listed. Doesn't have anything to do with me talking to my retainer currently.

if you are selling, your name would not pop up on the Buyer part of what you are looking at.

But what if you haven't used the character the retainer belonged to in a while? Do they still leave? And what about the items and gil that was entrusted to them?

The entrusted stuff probably remains. (to the person above: read the responses above to answer the market stall started by retainer question)

The above being said, I still see the equips I was selling from a month ago in my U'ldah Market assigned retainer.

At the time he listed the item, it was not undercutting. What the OP is questioning is why an item he listed for about 50K has been sold multiple times in the last week for almost twice that, for no obvious reasons.
