all the astra to umbral songs are 'covers' meaning they try to sound like the song they are covering giving it a slight twist to fit there style, and personal we need more orchestral type music, so far the main boss theme's that are out that i can think of right away that have this orchestra type music is Ultima Primal judgement (ifrit) and Rise of the white raven / bite of the black wold (bel van darns and gains van balser) the two rock themes i think fit nicely is leviathan and titan, shiva's is nice but you can see by the backlash it wasn't as appreciated as the last 2 i mentioned

I'm not so sure. I think the backlash was mostly because Shiva's theme's feel changes pretty drastically compared to the others. So you had a lot of people who liked the first (intro) half but not the 2nd (main) half. Titan's is just a slow build up, so it doesn't catch anyone too off guard; Levi's is mostly rhythmic drums (really sets the mood though; love that sorta tribal feel to it) before it starts. Levi's change in the is decently big, but shiva's is almost like hearing 2 completely different songs (which could well be the effect they were going for). I think that whiplash brought into the spot light and the split between those that liked it and those that didn't created lots of talk.
