I saw Lightning's outfit from FFXIII (The guardian corps outfit) on another player today and I really want the outfit. I looked around and figured that you can only get it during an event, but the event has happened twice. Does this mean that I can get it again when the event rolls around or am I out of luck?

im sure the event will roll around again, if not expect it to be in the cash shop in the future for like $5-10.

Idealy you want to have at least a level 45 or so, i think the highest level FATE related to the even is level 50 in mor dhona.

It was supposed to be twice (for the Japanese and then North American releases of FFXIII-3) and then was repeated again I think for the benefit of PS4 players. Maybe they'll have another go at it, but at some point limited time events have to disappear I think.

Maybe it will come again sometime after the expansion, for the new players the expansion will bring; but if it doesn't, then yeah it'll probably be put in the cash shop.

I can see it going on the cash shop eventually. Personally really hoping they don't have the actual event again. Part of the fun to me of event-only gear, minions, ext, is the fact that it's limited to the people who originally played the even at the time and not everyone can have them, thus you don't see 100's of clones running around as you do with most gear. It's cool to see folks running around in special gear that's (fairly) unique. Just my opinion though.

This event has literally happened 3 times now, I highly doubt it will be making a return. I'd rather them come out with new unique gear, like Sephiroth/Aerith armor or Tidus/Yuna armor or even Final Fantasy Type-0 outfits. I think there's a higher possibility of it being added to the retainer Quick Exploration pool rather than it being on the cash shop though.

We do not currently have any plans to hold another Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII collaboration event, and we do not have any plans to add Lightning’s hairstyle to the Aesthetician or make it available from event vendors.

This was posted a year ago, but there haven't been any official answers on the subject since then, so you can assume that SE's stance is still the same until we are told otherwise.

That was in May of last year, and four months later, in September of last year, they did repeat the event, so I think that quote's outdated now.

Though I too think the chance of a fourth time for that event is pretty low. The flurry of requests for it has died down quite a bit since then, and that's the only (apparent) reason they ran it a third time.
