Ask yourself this question why would they already make jokes about DBZ or people calling their character's Sephiroth already be in the game? isn't that just a passing fad "and get old" though you might only see it one time unless you have multiple alts?

Obviously we all want our game to succeed, in a way, it's like a second home for us. But in order to make that happen, we do need way more subs. So we need to be mature and stop to think "Is this really going to benefit the future of this game or is it just another passing fad that will be funny for a while then just get old?". Don't get me wrong, I feel that MLP and all it's glory has a place, but I just don't think that place is FFXIV.

Sorry man, the people that are turned off by references to "childish" things in a game would probably not like this game anyways, because it definitely has its cheesy and childish moments. This game is not, and never will be an ultra realistic, grim, dark, adult-only game. SE liberally uses childish humor and slapstick comedy in their games.
