    Abolish Disallowing Players to Join FL's in the last 10 minutes

    Please remove this function from the game.

    All it does is force-disadvantage a team that had a player drop for one reason or another.

    Sure, it also prevents people from getting a quick reward... but big deal.

    Much rather not lose a close game due to a dip in number(s) resulting from a forced hindrance by the system.

    I have read just rumors. That japanese players complained about getting stuck in the last 10 minutes of losing matches. If leader board win % is important then that would matter.

    In slaughter we don't even boot people who dc because their is no point. But most matches one person even in 8s wouldn't make that much difference. It could also be to stop people from kicking the stupid bard that trys to solo 8 other players. Yeah 6 Lustrates swiftcast does not mean you can take on 8 other players.

    If that's the reason for the limitation, it's a pretty lame reason. If they don't want to join losing games then all they need to do uncheck "join party in progress". I agree with the OP - I find that most of the time I find this feature a detriment more than a help.

    There is one huge flaw with this system imo...

    We cannot vote dismiss anyone before 5min have passed since the beginning of the Duty.
    What I understand from this: 5 min AFTER the gates opened, those first 2min with the gate closed do not count it seems, since I have tried vote dismissing offline ppl at 11:20 minutes remaining and still got the "must wait at least 5min to dismiss someone".

    And after 10min have passed, we cannot add members...


    Some duties have duration of 15min....
    So it would stand to reason that if you have to wait 5min to kick someone, and after these very same 5min there are only 10min remaining, you cannot get any replacements.
    Although I have seen ppl getting vote dismissed and being replaced, I suspect there is a very brief time window when this can be done... So it's very messed up, imo

    Yes now that Poetics cap is at 900, and I have my ADS mount- please put this back so I can get easy tomes (not that that's my primary motivation of course, I'm not me of those people). I can understand why they removed it though, people would just bail losing matches (I think one reason was not wanting them reflected on Lodestone won/loss count but I think they made it where quitting a match shows as a defeat or something and quitting doesn't prevent your win/loss rate changing adversely. However a player joining a match that people mass quit out of due to a losing team would ensure a hit to their win/loss ratio, which isn't quite so fair to someone trying to get a high rank due to simply doing their best in every match they play, and without having to forfeit the option to join in progress slots to prevent joining one lost cause match after another.

    Personally I'd rather join than not at this point, with the unnecessarily long queues that waste my valuable time I don't play as much as I would otherwise, and it's gotten too hard to join with premades with the queue situation, so my win/loss rate is usually up to PUG luck and now that I'm rank 45 it isn't worth sitting around waiting to play enough games a week to result in meaningful lodestone stats anyway.

    Way better than keeping a team behind or causing one who's ahead to dwindle due to a dropped player or two.

    I support this one. It feels horrible when you're down and when short you realize there's no way to come back. It hurts especially bad when you have friends waiting in queue and they could easily take that slot.

    Wholeheartedly agree, this' more harmful than good.

    If anything, make it so they can't join in the last 1 minute... but 10 minutes is really excessively crippling for close games.
