You are not the only one
I am for not instanced content.
Edit: I like the raids but I don't want them to concentrate only on instanced stuff. I want to see the open public dungeon first.

so far even a short conversation in quests is kinda instanced, every single bit is instanced. i've never seen so much instanced stuff before in an mmo. It's a very stupid approach imo and an immersion killer. It feels as if they ran out of ideas in a lot of ways. And on top we have the many limitations like crystal tools etc. ... i'm not sure how this is gonna turn out but i don't have the best feelings, even though some updates were ok so far and improved the game but i don't think they are changing their direction with instances...
Actually, I like this part. While I don't think everything in the game should be instanced, and would really hate it if it became like WoW where the world is just a lobby for people to use dungeon finder to play with people they'll never see again like it's not even an MMO, instances for quests like the main story quests do some things you can't do normally.
Yes, if you just walk right over to the person with an icon over their head, the instance seems useless. But you can also talk to all of the other NPCs there which have interesting things to say related to the current story events. A good example would be the last Gridania quest - the amphitheater is normally empty, but during that quest instance it's populated with NPCs to talk to about what's going on, and you even learn information you wouldn't otherwise like that the story NPCs are from Sharlayan. Gives you an opportunity to talk more with NPCs and learn more without interrupting the flow of the cutscenes.
again, people that love obsolet things and hate the real challenge
hnms is not challenge, hnm= monopolize items and bad economy in the game
the raids is good
is the real right direction, if take old ffxi elements this game could be retrograde
Yes. Obsolete things. Like spelling and grammar.
My only problems with raids are that they feel separate from the game world and are timed. It feels more like a bureaucratic system rather than a dynamic addition to the world and that's part of what I loved about XI. Everything in the games structure felt natural, even if the economy suffered for it. I think there should be some sort of middle ground, but I'd be hard pressed to think of what that could be.
Instanced content is fine but its just done totally wrong how they are currectly doing them. They need more objectives that are diffrent, more areas, some sorta level cap system, balancing chest treasure, reenter limit system and earn raid points apon clearing raids and maybe little more better rewards & adjustments on costs on raid point shops.
Raids need to be more like FFXI ToAU Assaults. They are very both the same but FFXI had reused zones to bring out alot of diffrent objectives with a diffrent instance's then just slay a boss.
