why I don't feel like part of the Scions.

We as a character have done so much for them. Even with all their praise and thanks I still feel like they don't view me as a part of their group. Why you may ask?

I don't own a pair of those nifty goggles. Every member save the leader Minfilia have them on their person it's a badge that signifies them as a field agent. Which we most certainly are.

So do you think Minfilia will ever trust or recognize us enough to give use a pair of goggles. Maybe a neck piece or something.

OK so I tried to rationalize why I don't have a pair of goggles. The best excuse was that they didn't have any more because the members that did have them got them from some long ago event.

Well guess what? Nope! After we rescued one of the goggles elite and she was naked as the day she was born. Low and behold her new outfit has a pair of goggles again.

That means they know how to make them and quickly from the looks of it. My character is busting his back for a bunch of ungrateful so and so's who refuse to acknowledge him with a pair of goggles. Not to mention we needed the goggles to even save her, yet I am still not given essential equipment.

At my wits end. I really don't want to complete the story anymore. Why should I help these people if they still refuse to treat me as an equal.

For the love of the twelve give us a pair of goggles already, neck/head item for glamour or something.

Whelp here we go again

OK , we're back here again. Another scion has shown up, Thancred. Once again was naked and some how produced a new set of goggles in a cave with a box of scraps. WTF. Can we please get our own set of goggles this is just getting ridiculous. Another story update came and went and still no goggles

Fortemps gave us a shield for serving them. We've known them so little as compared to the scions. Scions are greedy A-holes keeping all there goggles and new goggle productions to themselves. So angry, gosh!.

Before anyone brings it up, I know about the sets that are for sale with goggles. Seriously considering shelling out for some, but it's not the same as these thankless group presenting us with our own set in story.

Well another story release and still no goggles. I know scions have been seriously downplayed as of late, so I do not have much to say.

Just looking toward the future, because it appears they may be coming back to the forefront, and if they want the WoL's continued support maybe they should look to fostering our feelings of being a part of them. By providing our characters with necessary equipment, the goggles.

Ok, I'm salty, just get that out of the way.

Scions are back in the forefront. I've been placated for some time, all for SE to ruin my fun again. I did end up caving and bought a scion set, specifically Papalymo's clothing. With him and Yda missing for so long, and every other scion that came back getting a new outfit I figured it would give me the illusion when glamoured that the scions did appreciate me. Part of the group

So Papalymo and Yda came back, and lo and behold not only he but Tataru fail me. No new outfits for our wayward friends. So now I can't even glamour the Papalymo chest without looking way to silly. So even with my way around not receiving goggles, the illusion is broken.

On top of that we still haven't gotten goggles even though, they can produce them from nowhere at the drop of a gil. They are seriously going out of their way to hurt the WoL at this point. It's ridiculous. I wanted to side with the Warriors of Darkness, they would have given me a uniform, I could have went back to their world let them destroy those no good scions pricks and the rest of the world that spurns the WoL.

Also, I realize the Papalymo chest issue was a very personal thing that got ruined and by no means applies to all.

Big Spoilers ahead for the new 3.5 content.

Another story patch come and gone. My quest for recognition as part of their group continues, and they still haven't presented me with goggles. Though, we have had some developments.

Papalymo is dead! I can now safely use his glamour again. Illusion of them caring about me is once again engaged. I left him first chance I got simply because his death meant I could wear his cloths.

We also have a hopeful prospect. Tataru took the WOL measurements. Is she finally making us an outfit? Signs point toward yes. SE you'd better not F this up, if what ever glamour set Tataru makes us does not include a pair of goggles, once again proven several times to be necessary equipment in our travels, I'm going to lose my shit.

OMG News!

At PAX today March 11, 2017 during the Q&A, two questions were asked about when we will get our own pair of Scion Goggles. Got some traction. While they seemed blind sided by the desire of players to own a pair, this is a light in the darkness, that they might now consider it, while before it wasn't on their radar.

Sorry for delay. Another content patch has come and gone, still no goggles.

Big thing is Tataru made the WoL shiny new duds. Only problem or new scion outfit lacks our goggles. I am very disappointed, this was SEs big opportunity, and they let it slip by. We know for a fact that Tataru has both skills and materials to make a pair of the scion goggles, but once again they don't think we should have a pair.

Maybe we'll need another lalafel to sacrifice themselves like palomyo, and we can be rid of her. Here's hoping

New expansion, new missed opportunities.

First part of an expansion. *INHALES* I love the smell of new fresh story, and I thoroughly enjoyed this section. Goggles update, the warrior of light continues to be screwed over. There is even a pair of these goggles now without a user. Yda or Lyse changes her outfit, what is glaringly absent from this new look, her goggles. As she looks to be gearing up to leave the scions, she has shed her goggles. Those are now hanging around with out an owner. Have they been given to the warrior of Light? NO! that would make too much sense. So here I wait for more story with dry eyeballs.

Just popping in to remind the WoL still hasn't been given a pair yet, even though Lyse isn't using hers anymore. 4.3 the wait continues. My kingdom for a pair of goggles.

Hello again! Another patch and yet WoL still has dry eyes.

Well Well Well. Three more sets of googles are now going unused. Thancred, Y'shtola, and Urianger have all been rendered souless. I know they aren't dead, to a fantasy universe anyway, but those goggles are currently up for grabs in my opinion. This adds to the available goggles they aren't giving us to 4. Lyse's ill gotten goggles make the most sense to be given to the WoL. Y'shtola's goggles, the ones Tataru made her during Heavensward (still don't know why she didn't make us a pair while she was at it.)

We'll have to save them again, the goggles would be helpful to save them, but hey they are bastards and refuse to get us a pair of necessary field equipment. I can only hope the story leads to us not being able to save them specifically because they didn't give us goggles.

WoL continues to go wanting. Maybe one day our senpais will acknowledge us.

Technically the Archons are all Shalayan trained, thus the goggles. They originate from the Circle of Knowing. Minfilia founded the Path of the Twelve to find other echo users and after the calamity merged the Circle of Knowing and her organisation to form the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.

So technically the goggles aren't really a Scion thing. Tataru doesn't have the googles either.

Still I suspect your point is just that you want the goggles...

Those goggles are pretty expensive lookin though... I'd wager it'd cost you at least an arm and a leg.
