Uh... you guys noticed that all races get the tail in the DRG AF2 right? The Tail is part of the armor, period.

Your very perceptive observation does not address the issue the thread is about, however. Races who don't have a tail can have an artificial tail dangling from their armor, no problem. But if it's as thin as this one, it makes no sense to be worn by a race with an actual, thicker tail. Where does the tail go? It can't be stuffed into the artificial one, so it just disappears? Makes no sense and looks bad.
I think the bigger concern is for the tail-less races. Could you imagine how uncomfortable your life would suddenly be if you had a 2 foot long shard of metal shooting out from the back of your waist? The armor was designed from the get-go for looks rather than functionality. My only real problem is that it just makes your tail stiff. I think it would have looked better overall if, at least for the case of the tailed races, that it was made out of the same fold-able scales like the skin-tight scale-mail you're already wearing to show that it can still at-least move in the thing.Races who don't have a tail can have an artificial tail dangling from their armor, no problem. To tail or not to tail. Reroll on Hyur and problem solved. SE just wanna sells. People like horny races and little bad but good monsters so they created the AuRa. AuRa are already a hit even before their release. SE will deal or will not deal at all with clipping issues of horns and tails later. Once you have a tail you can't hide it. I'm laughing at people who choose to play with cat people but dislike how their tail is visible. Same for the AuRa. If you choose to play as one it means you like their horns and their tales. Either armour the tail itself or leave it outside of the armour exposed. Those huge tails cannot simply vanish or hide. They are here to stay.
Maybe your character can do the Saiyan tail belt thing?
Sounds like you're misunderstanding what this thread is about. The very purpose of this thread is to point out that both Miqo'te and Au Ra tails would never fit in that DRG armor fake-tail. So the armor is doing exactly what you say cannot happen - it makes the tail vanish and replaces it with a fake armored one.
Community complained about two-tailed gears already. See bunny gear and reindeer gear on Miqo'teAnyone notice how the Au Ra and Miqo'te do not have their own tail in the new DRG armor. It makes no sense to stuff your own tail into the armor somehow and have one that is attached to the armor. Since we have our own tails on these 2 races those should be shown on the armor.
Some of the Au Ra have pretty big tails and stuffing that in a suit of plate armor doesn't make sense.
The DRG AF2 is the only gear in the benchmark that would turn into a two-tailed gear on Miqo'te and Au Ra.

The quickest fix for this is to have a "prevent tail clipping on costumes" tick box somewhere which would do something like the "hide the hat" on outfits only for costume-type of outfits. The reason why it doesn't exist currently likely has more to do with the tails on Miqo'te are part of the base model and would leave a "hole" in the base model if turned off.
Yes I'm aware, and? Again I doubt this is something so far reaching as to their answer to the 2-tails clipping issue. Confident this is just a specific armor design choice.
