I love Hildibrand, the characters surrounding him and his adventures.
But I really do not want to see him pushed into a serious story line such as Edda's. That would contradict the style of both stories and ruin them ^^;

Personally I'd like to see some of his Childhood and home story; we would get to see more of his parents and I wonder how he and Nashu met?

To be fair Hildy story did take a rather dark turn for a bit before getting it right back into the silly in an awesome way. Though I do agree that Edda probably wouldn't be a good idea...maybe as a one off thing but not as the main story (nor resolving it).

When they were saying they weren't sure if they were going to jump right into more with him or try something else first, I was kind of looking forward to them trying something else. Not that I don't like Hildibrand, I'm mostly just curious what they would come up with to try and fill his shoes.

That joke only works once. Then it's just being homophobic/transphobic if it's used again. The next time it has to be Nashu. Cross-dressing jokes always have to alternate between two strong-gendered characters to get that point across.

The lore is a bit messed up in this case since the Phantom Train IS mentioned in the game (and the train station,) but seems to be more of a jab at the fact that the physical train isn't present, even though the tracks are.

Especially if Hildimom makes the creme pies. >w>

The nice thing about the Hildibrand sequences is that they can be used to unlock additional dungeons without having some random quest dude standing in one place that only exists to unlock that one dungeon. The dungeons unlocked by Hildibrand are unlocked in sequence of difficulty.

As for what would make for a good storyline. Ask two questions:
a) How does Hildibrand and Nashu end up in the V3 area. Something you activate must kick it off so that players in the V2.x areas can't activate it.
b) The kind of storyline I'd like to see is like a cruise-airship or ghost-ship mystery. With the new ability to fly in the V3 areas, you could perhaps find Hildibrand and Nashu stranded somewhere, after crashing their airship or something of that level.
