I have no idea what happened from this description. What type of dungeon were you running? You were MT with another guy? Then you were WHM doing Benediction?I hate being that guy, but I will be. I'm on day 4 of 4 where I've noticed a Pld and a Whm in DF roullette EX and anywhere the tank move the whm would follow. There were geared 129+, but only doing half pulls. I seen the tank say Cure and benediction followed with mt on the Benediction. I did notice a cure right away. I did notice a benediction right away. on day 4 of 4, (today.) now i can't prove much but on one specific pull there is a spot the tank may need a Benediction. I i typed What no Benediction and waited to push enter. as the tank neared 40% health I hit enter. I got the Benediction, and subsequently the tank died and said: "You ***hole, don't do that." in chat. Btw, Asking for erase on last boss I almost succeeded in killing the tank a second time, except this time the Whm said: "Didn't I tell you not to do that." Very odd cause it was the tank that said it.....
From what I can understand is that OP (original poster) during the past four days have entered EX roulette and met a PLD/WHM duo that does small pulls despite being very overgeared. PLD says "Cure" in chat and WHM casts Cure on PLD. PLD says "Benediction" in chat, followed by "mt" (miss tell, basically that they didn't mean to say it, at least in that channel), WHM does not cast Benediction.
On this fourth day, OP types "Benediction" in chat when PLD is low on health and WHM casts Benediction on OP and PLD dies. PLD calls the OP an a-hole and tells him not to do that. On the last boss, OP nearly succeeds in killing PLD again when OP writes another command in chat (I don't know Erase? Does OP mean Purify or Esuna? Not having leveled a WHM to 50 I don't know), now it is WHM saying "I told you not to do that", revealing that WHM and PLD are the same person.
People say that it's multiboxing and not against the rules, but considering that the WHM responds to in-game chat commands, it sounds like it's a bit more than that. I'm not a programmer but it sounds like there's a second program running that scans/reads the FFXIV data, and as far as I know, that's against the rules.
