Pretty much the same everywhere, best solution is to get all of your own materials on crafted goods and generally just vastly undercut the undercutters for pure profit, or drive the prices lower and buy everyones stuff then resell it later when the price goes back up. That is just how the market works, someone will always be there to undercut you. I have seen a retainer /named/ undercut you actually

If the undercut not too much pieces, buy them and resell at your prices may be an option. I'll do it when I see it for some things I know their regular price too much undercut.

I go full make it rain mode and lower the price for 10K, here ya go undercutting bastards sitting at the market board like at toilet bowl. Instantly sold, no need to refresh every minute and drop the price by 1 gil.

Lol pretty much exactly what I did to crab oils on Excalibur recently.. i set my stuff up at the current average price then someone came along and undercut me by several hundred gil while also splitting the number of oils per set to five rather than ten (bury you tactic) ...so i turned around and sold ten for half the price, i made 100k while his didn't sell for a month >.>;;... think the market is still tanked..

I did that before. This person has no life and sitting at the market board undercutting this stuff I crafted by 1 gil every... minute. No joke. I adjust the prices, minute later 1 gil again. So I'm going back and forth for 5 hours and suddenly I'm like OMG SCREW YOU and just sold all 25 of them 1 at a time for 50% less than that person was selling them for. He or she didn't undercut me again and they sold and I didn't see them being resold cuz my name is on the crafted items :P

I really can't compete with people who have nothing better to do with their time than to camp a market board. I mean I'm an end game raider, not a market board camper I just... can't do it. But in all fairness, the economy is slow as crap right now as in not really a lot of people buying stuff like they used to because of the calm before the expansion fever and undercutting during slow economies is EXTREMELY terrible.

I really can't sit at a market board dropping things by 1 gil all day just to try to make that sale. If you can do that, well enjoy your 8.5k. I'd rather not deal with the 1 gil undercutting wars.

No composure loss involved for me. I rather make another 20K in the time I would spend flip flopping gil at market board countering someone who undercuts by 1 gil and actually play the game, which entertains me more.

I try to price-match the cheapest. Sometimes there will be a handful of us content with our balance with each other for over a week.
And then someone new drops in and starts the spiral. :/

People like market board campers are another case for why run selling should be permitted for that exact reason. Raiders have to make a living too somehow. I don't think it's unreasonable to say a lot of cutthroat marketboard campers probably also buy clears. Let them return that money to some of the people they probably screw over :P
