i can say this list of upcoming stuff is what i have been waiting on. i may not be completely happy on some of the stuff being introduced, but this list i can say by far the good outweighs the bad. really looking forward to this one. i hope after 1.19 i can stop it with the full time crafting status and actually go to enjoying battle again. looks good so far.

Fact of the matter to me is that I like the changes being made. The flaming anger has subsided a bit but I still dont play much because though I love the new battle direction(strategy is needed now) I dont particularly like any of the generic ass classes.

Let me rephrase that I all out hate all of the boring generic battle classes all what 5 of them.

When they bring in PLD WHM BLM RDM NIN THF SMN DRG WAR RNG MNK BLU DRK and especially my all time favorite SAMURAI , then I will play every free moment I have and wouldnt blink when they say "OK people time to ante up!"

Yes they need to give us a FF jobs as main things to level not as some silly side-dish!

I think the battle system has gotten a lot better but when it comes to class-differentiation I think they all play pretty much the same still. FF jobs are fine-tuned to be different and to work together. That's 2 decades of fine tuning a RPG battle system. Classes don't hold a candle to real Jobs.

I think the mini chocobo in that image looks awesome. I hope Galkas get big fat ones to hold their weight =)

Yes, D&D classes are fine-tuned to be different. Have been since the 70's.

Doesn't mean SE can't try to do something they can call their own, instead of blatantly using someone else's work in your own franchise, even to the point that the people think that they didn't copy anything at all.

I wonder if this patch will be released on the one year anniversary of the game.

I think they might save Ishguard for first expansion or probably PS3 release. And if they are trying to do all those redesigns of the main maps and zones could take time away from Ishguard development. But who knows just glad to see so much content coming now.

Solid party system like the one someone made up
making the Wards as effective and convient as an AH

after those are done, il even consider buying the game again on ps3 just for the sake of supporting what changes they did to make the game a true successor to FFXI.
This is basically how I feel, I quit after the first month of the game. Just came back a couple weeks ago and while there have been some really nice improvements these are the same things I'm really hoping for and have heard little or nothing about unfortunately.

Specifically AH/Mail/Mog house, two of these were left out due to them wanting to crack down on RMT well I think we can all agree that I'd rather deal with some RMT issues then a under populated dying game. I'd settle for a improved Wards but why isnt even that on their to do list.

World redesign is a big thing for me that bugs me the copy pasted look and long winding paths in cities or in the shroud are annoying, the dungeon/caves all look the same. Where are the areas like Castle O or Gehlsba Outpost? Sorry but the Nanawa Mines and Cellars place just doesn't cut it!

Also the party search feature needs improving asap I'd love to see the one that someone had posted about being able to seek with different jobs it just makes too much sense and is something I always wanted in XI at the least it needs improving from what it currently is.

Still happy to see some positive changes coming dont get me wrong I've waited this long but it also shows how far this game still has to go theres plenty of potential there though.

^ I know in an interview they mentioned working on a personal space and they also mentioned mail system, but apprently their god awful coding is holding them back. Apprently lots of stuff was in place to stop RMT, but they ended up making such a mess with it that it hurt the players.

Dont expect any of those things anytime until next year at the earliest

Hope so, I'll be logging at the end of the bridge when they open it.
