Just under 13k on my new rig, max settings at native resolution of 1680x1050 on DX11


DX9 was a bit higher


And for giggles I ran the original FFXIV 1.0 Benchmark at 1920x1080 windowed (2 resolution choices, 720p and 1080p both windowed only).


Also ran the original FFXIVARR benchmark, got like 8000. Forgot to screenshot it though.

I invested in 2 new GTX980s from Gigabyte, the G1Gaming and it bumped my Score with my old GTX Titan from 5200 all the way up to 14000+ on Max and 1600p resolution.

New to FFXIV and enjoying the game, its pretty and fun. Runs great! Here is my score on the benchmark:

Asus strix 970. Score at my native res of 1440p was 8063, but most everyone else is running 1080 so I posted that. I'm happy with the results, next week I get my second Asus 970 can't wait!

GTX 970 seems to be the way to go all these benchmarks with higher scores are either that, a titan, or some other card in SLI. I wonder if I can get something maybe in the 150$-250$ range that'll get a decent score at least on high desktop.

GTX 960 (preferably 4 gig VRAM version) or R9 280X should get the job done. Might even find R9 290s for $250. CPU has a big impact in games like FFXIV too, though.
