Just SMN, wud like to of seen summoners take on the forms of their summons (for example grow horns/claws and be enveloped in flames wen summoning ifrit and gain melee abilities)

BRD could have been a healing class that uses buffs to assist. It would have at least made more sense than tying it to Archer.

it works exactly like traditional smns. since smn's are always also blm/whm.

Agreed with the majority that SMN sucks. I've never had a real issue with the avatar design (though I hate the term "Egi"). I do dislike that Carbuncle is abandoned once Garuda is gained. I don't like that Ifrit becomes obsolete and that the job basically has one useful avatar at any given time. Every summon, including Carby ought to be available and uniquely useful to a top tier SMN.

I'm not terribly unhappy about the DoT-centric design of Arcanist that transfers to Summoner. I do feel a Summoner should be executing these abilities through their avatar, rather than directly performing the abilities themselves. These could be universal abilities for all avatars and unique avatar abilities could be off-GCD supplements.

I just don't care for the Class to job when all jobs are just classes a little buffed. No one places classes in anything other then PVP. When was the last time you saw a conjurer in anything endgame.

The jobs are to close to the classes to make them meaning full.

Bard should have been a support role or just not exist. ARC should have gone to Ranger. Even SE said the healer lb role made no sense.
