Those horns that are a a part of hairstyles are probably accessories. Probably made out of aldgoat horn or something.

So where are the Au Ra's real horns? underneath the fake ones on the sides of their head?

Hopefully they'll make it so those are optional, or put in duplicate hairstyles without them. The ones on the hairstyle in the design I made really don't sit well with me (the 3rd one on females), but I like the hairstyle itself too much to change it.
Not like they couldn't do it either, what with the 4 or 5 exact same hairstyles with different hairband colors on some races.

The sides of the head are real one but the ones in hair styles seem ornamental as an accessory since they don't have the same color as their natural color. You can get a hair cut which removes them so it only makes sense they aren't real.
