Seriously, the time limit is not that long to begin with. It should be if you join DF you should plan to stay the whole time. There should be no vote abandon or kicking. The game should kick people afk and if you leave you get timed out. These fights are not that difficult and any party can win in the time limit.

... not really. I've been in multiple parties that have run out of time on things without clearing. Sometimes people are just that bad.

Obviously you've never found yourself in a party, where the dps were so undergeared, that it was literally, LITERALLY impossible to clear the dps check. By your logic, we should fight an unwinnable fight until the time runs out? It may be a system that has potential for abuse. But then, just about anything is. It doesn't make it inherently evil.

Content too hard? Too much rng? Too much effort for the item you want?

Every DF battle has a ilvl restriction so if your able to enter it must be possible. If it is not possible to clear in the time limit then it can be used for practice. Not every fight has to be a one shot clear, if it was it be pretty boring, so stop making excuses for people that like to quit.

Try going into one of those fights everybody at "minimum required item level" You tell me how it goes. Can it be won at minimum item level, probably yes, by a group of highly skilled players who know how to maximize dps and not make any careless mistakes. By the majority of lazy casual screw ups in this game? Fat. Chance. And in any case, there are many other times vote abandon is worth it. Griefer parties in Crystal Tower are a good one that comes to mind. How about when the dungeon bugs and becomes literally impossible to complete. You can call a GM, yes, but likely, you'll have timed out before they get back to you.
