Well *I* make airship components with that frying pan. It's OP, you know.

lol I'm a trained savile row tailor. If I can get along with the inaccuracies in game i'm sure you can.
Ehhh tbh expertise has little to do with it.. That's like saying I can't complain about any sports matches because I myself couldn't perform better than the players..
Being bothered by little details is dictated more by personality traits than intimacy with the topic at hand..
OP has a first person privilege to his own feelings, it may not make sense to you, nor to any of us, but if OP is bothered by it, well then he's bothered by it. Warranted or not, feeling are feelings :P
I always love taste-testing when making dyes.

In FFXI, the Ice element was associated with the aspect of Induration, a fancy word meaning "to harden". While FFXI DID typically still use Fire crystals in the forging of armors anyway, I believe that Ice was chosen for Armorer's element in FFXIV cuz they had to give Ice to SOMEONE, and it made sense that the "element of hardening" would be appropriate in the forging of armors (which, naturally, you want to be very hard).
When using Ice crystals to forge armors, think of it more like transfering the aspect of hardness from the ice crystals into the armor, rather than thinking of it as using the crystals' energy to soften and shape the armor pieces.
Why did the OP list their expertise if it isnt relevant then, just seems like a unnecessary aspect to pick up in the game. Any whatever if it is really that upsetting i'm sure the dev team could address.Ehhh tbh expertise has little to do with it.. Bnose
She didn't, she just said she's engaged in it previously to know that the animation looks wrong
Even if she went into the history of her weaving career, that's not a necessary point to making the argument one way or the other.
She could be a master 3d animator, a tailor, or even an 80 year old grandma from Europe who weaves all of her own clothes..
None of those are a pre-requisite to validating her ability to Hear, Feel, Think.
P.S. I hope my reason for posting isn't misunderstood, I'm not trying to be nit picky. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people tell others how they should "feel" :P Personal emotion is one of the very core of what is "Mine and mine only"

Yeah i get it... but at the end of the day fire heats things... so ice transfers hardness? Still makes little sense. In FFXI, the Ice element was associated with the aspect of Induration, a fancy word meaning "to harden". It does come across nit picky.
If she posts her opinion on a public forum, she should be prepared for others to voice their opinion as well. These threads are predominantly a discussion where people will voice opinions on topics.
I don't anyone to feel as if they cant voice their opinion, but they should be prepared that others may not share the same perspective on a given topic.
