Dx9 and Dx11: Are we getting both?

Have no idea if it was stated ages ago or not but I am going to assume that they will have both based on that the benchmark offers both option.

I am asking because it seems to me that a few friends and I have "better" performance with the Dx9 Client rather than the Dx11 client. Score difference varying between 1000pts - 2000pts higher or 10-20 fps higher when it comes to dx9 vs dx11. While some claim that the dx11 client looks "better" than the dx9, I did not see anything different at all when comparing the two thus found it still worth using dx9 client. So just wondering if the Heavensward will make us use dx11 or if there is an option to continue to use the dx9 client

Either or and dx11 does look better Nvidia released some sliders. I'll link them in a few.

We will have separate DX9 and DX11 clients. Neither client will be able to run the other version.

Awesome. Least some of my friends will still be able to play at optimal gameplay with a dx9 client than >D. I am already in the process of building a new computer (thought wont have it till little after HS) but its only a matter of time.

You should look at the minimum frame rate. DX9 gives me a slightly higher score than DX11 with all features, however DX9 has severe drops in framerate while DX11 doesn't.

Well while I did not look at the minimum frame rate, the Average for both clients were a difference of 11. Dx11 client puts me at 28.13 avg while the dx9 puts me at 39.47

did not know such option exist o.O. currently in a instance atm ill run a test again once i get out.

Average 26 fps however I saw it more stablized around 30-35 FPS and very little drop in frames. dropped a few during the fast flying scenes.

If you are capable of running the DX11 client you should do so. With all the new features disabled (so running at equivalent to DX9 settings) the DX11 client should give you a much more stable frame rate.
