They already said that the new jobs will not have the zodiac weapons, but what about the AF armors?
Did they say anything about this?

I'm certain they haven't said anything, but I'd say it's safe to assume they're only getting one AF set until the next expansion.
Would be kinda lame seeing as XI gave all Jobs AF1 and AF2.
I'd expect the new jobs to receive an AF1 set as part of their level 45 and 50 job quests, just like everybody else.
I'd also expect that, just like the current jobs, they'll get an upgraded variant around level 60.
On the other hand I rly don't think they will. Reason for this is the new jobs don't have classes at all. This means they have a lot more abilities to make up in general. Since they've already said that all jobs are gaining more than just 2 abilities and that the quests won't just be every 5 lvls like before. I'd go as far to say that the new jobs won't follow the standard job quest / ability every 5 lvls that the others did from the start. Therefore I also wouldn't expect to get an AF1 at all.
I wonder how it will work, as it is now, the lvl 45 AF is a huge boost for the character, so if they don't get any gear at that level it can be annoying for them in Dzemael and Aurum Vale ( althought it would make the gear from these dungeons at least a little relevant )
What I really wonder is: what gear will DRK/AST/MCH have at all?
Based on the premise that the new jobs are only unlocked if you've bought the expansion, what are they going to introduce for the enormous i-level jump that one makes when hitting 50? AF1 is nice for glamour and all, but if our i130 gear on previous jobs is going to be all we need to level up to character level 60, what will those 3 new jobs have? Will the new jobs just have their acronyms shoved into the existing i130 gear we have (such as how Ninja was handled with the Monk gear but adding Dex?), or will there be some precedent against that since that gear is "2.x content"?
I guess this is what I'm getting at: I was talking with my EB partner yesterday about this and our plans for HW release. She says, "As soon as I hit lvl 50 on Astrologian we should farm Bahamut so I can get an Astrologian Dreadwyrm weapon!" I say, "I don't think AST/DRK/MCH will get Dreadwyrm weapons because that's 2.x content and I doubt they would add the new job weapons in 2.x content because then people who don't buy the expansion can see weapons they can't even use."
She agreed, but it leaves me with the question of what do we get? I know they added Ninja to the Soldiery and SCoB gear, but the precedence is different. No one had to pay anything extra to get Ninja, we all got it in a patch. If you don't get HW, you don't get access to these new jobs. Does it matter? Will the three jobs have their acronyms added to the existing gear (Dread/Poetic) Will poetic actually carry over to 3.0 as an uncapped currency (because we still don't know if this is going to happen before 3.0) so it makes sense for this to happen? Should we buy the Poetic tokens right now so we can have an i130 weapon for our fresh 50 new jobs?
Sorry if these questions sound like amateur style stuff. I'm a console player and this is my first real MMO. Thanks in advance to anyone who offers a constructive response.

DRK = tank gear (with Pie added to Tank gear like Dex was added to MNK gear pre 2.4)
AST = healer gear
MAC (or MCH) = bard gear (that would be then ranger gear) or a own gear set

This was my question for the last Live letter but dont think it was answered (despite the likes).
Not only am I curious about AF 1 but i'm also curious about the ilvl 90 gear set! (ninja got a set - only obtainable by getting the antique "tokens" from dungeons though)
I'd still expect the new jobs to get about the same number of abilities as the current jobs do. There isn't really a good reason to change the pacing pre-50 for when those abilities are obtained.On the other hand I rly don't think they will. Reason for this is the new jobs don't have classes at all. This means they have a lot more abilities to make up in general. Obviously they can just do whatever they want, but there's a player power issue if they DON'T get AF1 at about level 45.
