Yeah, people have let me know the letter wasn't for other game systems, I understand now. But... I'd still like to know what's going on. They still thinking about it?

Okay just saw the rep response last week about storage system, nix that question. But the storage system he was talking about only referenced seasonal items, so...just a system for seasonal items? Sorta vague there...

They mentioned a lot of things like delivery/etc. can't be added until the server is optmized.

In FFXI There were NPC's where you could store all the seasonal items you got so you didn't have them clogging up your inventory/retainers. Santa suits, yukatas, heart wands, wooden swords, swimwear etc etc. I figure a system like that is what he was talking about.

Yeah just stored my brand new yakuta yesterday lol. That's what I gathered too. And thanks for letting me know about the server thing corr, I honestly had no idea. Lol, this is what I get for only checking the forums like once a month xD.

No, Adding Timed or Blind Bidding would, and no one likes those.
Its not an auction without a bidding mechanic. Sorry, but thats the cold hard facts. If there is no bidding its a straight market.
Those of us claiming not to want an Auction House dont want those bidding mechanics, so we have to fight extra hard against the people blindly asking for an Auction House. We don't want SE confused.None of what I've been describing turns anything into an Auction House. As has been mentioned. Its only an AUCTION house if you have an AUCTION, If its straight price, its straight market. There is no reason to convolute the system with a name that does NOT represent the function.I've already posted multiple times an idea for the MW that incorporates all the good stuff about an AH (time and convenience) without implementing the shitty stuff (Timed Bidding, Blind Bidding, and Price History).
1. Remove the Physical Wards.
2. Make the Wards a Menu
3. When you search for an item it does like it does now and lists the retainer of the user with the lowest price first.
4. Clicking the retainer opens their inventory in a new menu and lets you buy the item you were searching for, It also keeps the "Window Shopping" Effect.
5. You can blind search the lists of retainers still.
6. When you buy an item its delivered to a mailbox. Go pick it up.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

An auction is when you bid for somthing, if they add a feature to buy from the wards interface its still not an auction house, anywhere that uses the term auction house for a buy now feature either doesnt know what an acuction house is or just uses the term because everywhere else does.
If they add a buy now feature to the wards interface its still the wards, have you ever seen an rl auction house that lets you buy now? ebay doesnt count because it has bidding, just has an option to buy now if the seller wants it.
Bidding is what makes an auction house an auction house, if they just have a buy now button its still a market just without the need to run to the retainer.

Its semantics, I call it an AH because that's what its called in every other MMO. You can hate on the name of it, but that's what's it called. People new to a game are called amateurs but we call them noobs. Its just a word. And part of the info I'm trying to get is if they do indeed implement AH's how would they do so.
