The benchmark seems broken for AMD. Because I've re-ran it plenty of times now and it always ends up with a different score, it's not consistent at all. I got my 7950 at 1GHz with 6355 score, then I up the core to 1,075GHz and I get 4300 even though the overclock is stable. Same with varying results at stock (850Mhz) ranging from 4,3k to 5,3k. Then I tried enabling crossfire, and scores were ranging from 6,4k to 8,4k. So yeah, there's something off.

Also ain't right that a person with 660GTX outscoring my 1Ghz 7950, no way on earth.

Graphics programming is full of extensions and features that each card may or may not support. I do some graphics programming, so for example the gfx card at my home can support 500+ uniforms to the shader. At work though I was confused why the same program wouldn't work. Turns out this gfx card supported 256. It can be a nightmare sometimes, though libraries like Direct3D and OpenGL try to minimize it.

SE tried to optimize for the general set, but probably tested on Nvidia cards. That's just the nature of the beast with pcs.

Your CPU is a big bottleneck for your GTX 780 (780 or TITAN?).
7027 is a score for a GTX 760, instead 8000 for GTX 770. You can easily go over 13k with a TITAN or 980ti, but you need to upgrade your CPU (you want an intel i5 or i7 overclocked).

Not -that- broken. AMD CPUs suck, that's why they're cheap after all. As I said up there, any AMD CPU is a bottleneck for every worth GPU in the market right now. And trust me, the difference is huge.

Yeah, this benchmark prefers Intel CPU's way more than AMD (Intel has much stronger per-core performance). The difference between AMD and NVidia GPU's is not that large, although it is slightly in favor of NVidia.

It's not a secret SE collaborated with Nvidia to implement all the eye candy of DX11 in their client. In exchange for the help they put the logo there for you to see so they can advertise themselves. It's not smth bad. Both Nvidia and AMD fund some titles for promotional reasons. The people with AMD cpus who say the benchmark is not running very well on their system, well it's not supposed to run well with the underpowered AMD cpus after all. However if you have an AMD GPU then you shouldn't have a problem. If you have problem then either your system is outdated or you have not the latest GPU drivers on your system (yes there are a lot ppl who run their systems with the GPU drivers which came in the CD/DVD inside the box of the GPU).

Good choice, the 4690K is a solid CPU and you can OC it too /thumbsup

over 8K score is acceptable for max setting in dx11 but the good thing about dx11 is high looks better than than dx9 on max

    FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward Benchmark
    Score: 9604 Extremely High
    1920x1080 Maximum DirectX11 Full Screen
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2700K CPU @ 3.50GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780

That is what I got with my hardware (which is around 3 years old with some components). Game felt kinda low FPS wise compared to what I get atm with FFXIV.
