There's a HUGE difference in looks. The 2nd one looks younger and cuter, while the 1st one looks more mature even using the same face type

I still fail to see how this is bad? It just allows for a wider margin of individualism which is what people want. They want more options to become different, they don't want to see a town of clones walking about feeling like every other face in the same crowd.
