Ehhh...hmmm...

Trying to decide which better captures the sketch I had, from page 3 of this thread. Or, putting that aside, which looks better overall. First has way, way better scale patterns, second has stronger features and a pretty chill expression. Hairstyle is a placeholder -- final is gonna have the ponytail from the Gold Saucer.

If anyone cares to feedback, cool. Not sure I'm quite feeling it, altogether. But we shall see.

Personally, i would prefer the first one. facial expression is something that the Character Builder can't display properly, so many emotes as there are in the game.

My first Try:

I like his eyes, but still something is missing. Maybe I would be happier with a more favorable Lightning
And i dont like the new hairstyles, way far to over the top. Or to be more precise: I only like certain aspects of the new hairstyles.

Something I'm noticing about those ultra-angled eyes is that they make the irises seem a little off and unfocused. It's almost an uncanny-valley effect, but the shape itself is still really cool.

So far as your guy here goes, try giving him a roll through the benchmark video and see how the animations and such treat him. Can't lie, I am so, so jealous right now of those awesome scale patterns and color!
