Even though I'm super happy with male Au Ra and I'm now totally going to make one. I will admit that I would rather have that full on scaled dragon race from the concept art that Nestama just posted.

Would like to see all of these used as npc's in game. Who knows if enough player attention is garnered they could someday be playable as alternates of existing/ upcoming races.
Though you do have to admit that it does seem odd how it went from looking like its own thing to suddenly becoming something we already have (Hyur), but with bits and pieces glued here and there.
Au Ra do not have a muscle tone slider like the Hyur's and Roegadyn...

If nothing else, perhaps the Xaela could be made larger and more indimidating?
In terms of their actual faces, I love them, and I'm perfectly content with those options. My issue is that their bodies look thin and frail. Their default Standing animation isn't helping (even though that shouldn't be an issue, with the /stance command)
I love that they're tall, but their upper-bodies seem woefully inadequate. I've compared them side-by-side, and they're almost identical to Elezen, when set to the same height. Like I said, I'm not asking for a total overhaul or anything, but they should have much more muscle, in their torso. Give them abs, thick muscles around their ribcage, and muscles around their chest and shoulders.
Also... I'd like to see them have thicker, longer tails. I like the general shape of Option #4, but it needs more "bulk" to it, to feel a little more imposing, I think.
Wow. I hadn't seen that concept art before. I really wish they'd stuck closer to that for both genders.
Those females look like they could rip your face off, but they're still really sexy.
The ones we have now... erm... not so scary/bestial and more cute than anything.
Yeah! It's funny, because I never pay attention to female characters, but that one really struck a chord with me. Not only would I love to see that in-game, but I'd love to see it for the Xaela, and make Femake Xaela the leaders of their people, seeing as they revere the "Dusk Mother".Wow. It's not odd at all, they started with a wild idea then toned that concept down from something very few people will play until they got to something they think a lot of people will play, not only exciting people to buy the expansion but buying more fantasias too and making it easier to stretch armor models.
But the idea of a new race isn't so that majority of the player base will change into it (I would have changed to an Au Ra if they were the 'Dragon' concept art. Now I won't because they're just another human with bits). Even if only a small % of players played as the concept art Au Ra (though I bet the % would be higher than Roegadyn and Elezen), at least people ARE playing it.
Yeah, it would've been nice if the difference between the clans/tribes of Au Ra would've been similar to midlander and highlanders.
Basically, one will be what we see now, while the other is more fierce/ feral look
