Did SE give up on making houses/plots re-sellable?

i hope it is jsut because i'm not fluent in english.. did i read some people here saying they want others to "lose everything" if they want to sell their home ? Really ? i mean... why ? is it just jealousy, pure nastiess, or something else?

housing system in FF14, like its PvP, is one of the worst i saw so far in MMO. SE should go learn some lessons from Carbine studio.

They just don't want people profiteering off of the housing "crisis".
I personally see nothing wrong with it, but I understand the argument they're making.. Still, I find it hard to agree with.. It's not like in real life where without housing you'd struggle to survive, i.e. housing is not a necessity to life.

And.. yes, before anybody says anything.. I used to have a house before I gave it to a friend, so I am currently running around homeless, I do not have 4-5 houses hidden away in some ward that have for sale signs up to make a profit or anything like that.

I understand this point of view, but, they must not forget that BECAUSE we can't sell our house, they can't get one.
I won't sell my home for 0gil at a NPC, and being forced to sell our FC to be able to sell our home is just stupid.

Plus, there are some expensives furnitures that we can't get back (Leviathan fountain etc)... So what are our options :
1/ We don't sell our home, so others will never get theirs (because there are no more plots left).
2/ We sell it for 0Gil a NPC and lose everything we have put in it.
3/ We sell our FC + nude plot (and lose everything that we could not get back, like leviathan fountain etc) at a "normal price".
4/ We sell our FC + plot and all stuff we couldn't get back at a bigger price because some furnitures are very expensives.
5/ We sell our plot (and keep our FC) and lose everything we couldn't get back for a higher price considering it, at someone that will have to buy the nude plot at the NPC (so he buys it twice)

It's at whether a win-lose system, or lose-lose system.

Everything is so poorly thought in their housing system...
