Well there is one good thing with Adeledji being dead, aymeric doesn't have to suffer through his hospitality.

And that is weird cause the last live letter just got translated and posted on the 23rd and it does say the focus will be on the dragonsong war. Granted I do know that that doesn't mean that the story will be all that it is about. *shrugs*

Well, up until after beating Titan, the "focus" of ARR's story seemed to simply be taking out Primals one after the next. Then the Empire marched back on stage.

We'll probably be mainly in Ishgard until around halfway, when the (surviving) Scions come back and we finally get enough support to go back to Ul'dah. I also don't think revealing the new Emperor of Garlemald when they did was just a casual plant for 4.0, but we aren't going to get any real new story information until the expansion is actually playable.

From what I recall 2.0 was primarily dealing with Primals until Lv45 or so, after you beat Garuda and Gaius marched onscreen with the Ultima Weapon. Until then the Imperials had been in the backseat, excepting their raid on the Waking Sands.

Either way, as long as we find a way to right the wrongs of 2.5.5...

Its worth pointing out the Primals have been beaten by soldiers before. Its just extremely costly. There was an interesting talk about it at a Fanfest which used the Company of Heroes as an example. They used numbers to overcome the primal cause inevitable they would have to fight their first wave. So the first wave would attack and get tempered, the second wave would intercept the first wave and then the third wave would engage and overpower the primal.

Its not to say that Primals aren't hugely powerful just on their own. It's just that there are forces out there capable of pulling them down. We are certainly among the strongest soldiers in Eorzea. But that doesn't mean the standing armies forces are ants to us, particularly among their elite. Lolorito isn't stupid and has resources we don't know about. He wouldn't have come there without serious backup if the Scions did decide to fight. Don't think Ilberd and a bunch of grunts was all we would have had to face. As I said before, this is a guy with Sultansworn Paladins in his pocket.

Well, we did do that entire Garuda arc while Minfilia and the rest were being held captive by Imperials, so we knew from about level 34 on that we'd need to go save them at some point. I'd like to think we'll be wrapping up any serious dangling threads (like we did in 2.0) before 3.1 starts us moving towards new Primals and the next expansion.
