What? Objectification? People who say that seem to act like artists and designers are above humanity. As if they can't be sexist or objectify women. Then they start things like Gamergate which completely destroy the world's view of video games and their community.

Yes, exactly. But for some reason no one in these threads ever seems to be capable of admitting that, "yes, I prefer female characters to be dressed skimpily but I don't like the same for men." There always has to be some ~higher reason~, like "aesthetics" or "artistic vision" (especially the latter seems to pop up). HOW DARE YOU TRY TO STIFLE THE ARTIST'S VISION.
OP's skimpy male DRK armour is pretty awesome though, I am all for it if both genders get it.![]()

Well, men usually don't enjoy seeing banana hammocks, thats just a fact of life, in or out of video games lol. I'm a guy, and i'll admit I think "Sexy" armor styles are kind of stupid in a lot of armor choices, but I also enjoy that they're options... but women and men wearing the same armor is impractical because their bodies are different. Semantics I know, not saying they have to be sexy armor but they would be designed differently.Yes, exactly. That said, the reason people get defensive on this regard is liking because feminism and SJW have been causing shit storms lately targeted more and more at video games, this puts gamers, both men and women, on the defensive when it comes to stuff like this particular topic, regarding sexualization of females and such. Where people throw out words like sexist and such despite not apparently understanding what the word means. I know I get, for lack of better word, angry when people throw words like "Sexist" and "Misogynistic" around or try to bring up GamerGate without knowing anything about it except for the twisted and incorrect information mainstream media sh*ts out. So I could see how people with less control than I could take these emotions and get defensive when people try to call sexism on armor design choices.
Anyway, I think AF armor should be more or less unisex in terms of general design... and it is for most jobs outside of a few non-offensive cosmetic changes... save DRG who just... *sigh*. But I don't find "sexy" armor a bad idea, men have banana hammocks in XIV, bikinis and such, they can be just as skimpy as women if the chose too. Some do.
Edit: Also, women have different tastes than men, so making armor unisex might make some women enjoy it, but other women will not. I know many a women gamer in XIV who prefer the skimpier stuff in a lot of cases... Its a matter of taste and you can't please everyone when it comes to taste in armor.
