So many nay-Sayers lol sheesh. It was just an idea and just examples of ideas, how about the animation you have if you lose steps of faith, you want them to take that out and just have you standing there =/

Rather than making this in-battle, I would like to see it implemented after you [SPRINT].
At the end of the sprint or the run, you would bend down a bit, pant a bit and then come back up again.
But nobody has yet to mention the weird transition of all emotes from [EMOTE] -> Normal pose.
Like... you're laughing out loud, bending over and evertyhing, then you just stood up into a wooden position with a serious face.
That's quite a mood swing.
as a Out of combat thing it would work nicely
for in combat i would love to see out characters slouch when asleep or other fun visuals
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
No player input and low TP could trigger a panting/recovering animation.
Would be a nice little touch, showing characters taking a quick chance to catch their breath when a boss jumps away or whatever.
I think its a good idea for HP and some more status effects(something similar already happens for sleep). Maybe not so much MP since burning it happens regularly. If tp was used, you'd have to take into account sprint since that immediately puts you at 0 tp. It feels they scaled down the reactions in combat a bit compared to 2.0 beta, and it would be cool to see that changed back so that we aren't so stiff.
If it were up to me, I'd probably use the neutral battle stance as the one to work with. Nothing like getting on the knees, but a change in expression, poise, and sway can show the character looking fatigued, yet still in it.
Outside of combat i would like to see the exhausted look from steps of faith as a emote, looks better than /stagger IMO.

Nice thought, but usually by the end of battle you're all Healed and MPd up. I'd kind of like to see it anyway, because there isn't really an indicator that your health is getting low (other than your actual health bar), and more than once i've died in the middle of a quest or leve because i wasn't looking at my health.
"Almost done with this leve, can finally turn them all in for some decent ex- *return to mor dhona?*"
FFXV did something similar when you or the NPCs hit the secondary HP bar - it effected the moving animation as much as the standing (bent over, holding stomach, breathing hard, kinda staggeringish) - it would just be without the slowed movement speed that came with the animation, for FFXIV's case.
I think it's doable - just a standing/running animation swap (from standing straight to staggered/slumped) for the upper body in the least. WHM doing a BLM skill (sleep, etc) or SCH doing a WHM skill swaps class animations when casting, etc, already. Sprint does this already (as someone mentioned, which made me remember xD). If done right, I don't think it would impede movement but still give the aesthetic of struggle..

Hmmm... I have to agree - most healers won't let you stay too low on health for too long - it might bounce the animations too much - especially tanks getting constant burst damage (Odin trial...).Nice thought, but usually by the end of battle you're all Healed and MPd up. Though it might be a nice aesthetic in 24-man raids, seeing people in and out of your alliance staggering about nearby or in the distance. xD
Not sure I understand the problem of the first point, I mean isn't instant changes to idle battle stance already a thing you can set up in config?Hmmm...
