It's the main battle theme for La Noscea region. Also FYI, back in 1.0, each region has their own battle BGM, including Coerthas & Mor Dhona too. At least Mor Dhona battle BGM were already re-used for one of dungeon boss battle, Halatali HM for example.

not gonna lie, it reminds of Chrono Cross, which makes me happy

It makes me happy that someone else likes Chrono Cross.

Well... Chrono Cross are in fact one of my greatest fave game. ^^

Anyway, aside from some good music in the dungeons in 2.0, the majority of music from 1.0 they could have kept. But I understand the producer wanting to depart from remnants of the original FFXIV(FFXI) team's work as much as possible.

I used to feel that way too. But... seeing how the direction of this game goes, and not to mention Uematsu-san were coming back to contribute for 3.0 soundtracks, it kinda felt a bit unfair that majority of cool 1.0 BGM were intended to be left behind.
