Atma Book: Dungeon Boss Mark not counted due to death. Can we change this?

Honestly, the relics should just be 100% drops form the bosses that anyone can loot to get updates as long as they have the quest.

But isn't that the same setup used for Light farming? In the way you only get credit once the last mob (the boss) is dead. Not by clicking the exit like the duty finder npc at the end.

The books, light, and zodiac are different.
The books reward for killing the boss, the light rewards for completing the encounter, and the zodiac rewards for completing the dungeon.
Which are 3 separate things, apparently.

Happened to me once or twice during this part of the relic for me. It is a little frustrating but not something I felt crippled me wanting to complete. As long as it's not happening during every book you do; you should be fine.

if it's happening on every book maybe the problem exists between the keyboard and the chair.
I mean, I'm not normally one to call someone bad, but these aren't the hardest dungeons. For most of them people don't even pay attention to mechanics anymore.

The way it should work for the relic books should be contribution based instead of being alive when the KO to the boss happens (similar to how your contribution to a fate determines your XP). I feel that it's completely unfair if you need the book, go through an entire hour for the dungeon and just because someone can't heal you properly you are instantly SOL.

I'd understand if this was FFXI, yeah sure tough luck. I figured SE had lost it's taste for sadomasochism but it seems that the original {Bastard Swords} who implemented the tough-love kind of grind is still pulling strings.

SE - CONSIDER CHANGING THIS ASPECT! It's completely infuriating to go through these dungeons with no reward even if you contributed the most just because of an untimely death.

What's funny is even in FFXI for most things you'll register as completing it if it dies and your party is alive--even if YOU are dead.
