HQing 3 Star 40 Durability Materials?

Whats a good rotation and/or macro fro HQing 3 Star 40 Durability materials like Wolfram Ingots and Ancient Lumber?

Uh.. you don't think I haven't tried already? Don't be an ass in the part of the forums where it's actually alright to ask for a macro/rotation.

Alex, what is. . If you're not going to try crafting it yourself, how about you bother looking at the recipe before looking for handouts?

In english, the reason i didn't help you is simple. Your question didn't make sense. The ONLY 40 durability 3 star recipe are the Lucis Token, which leads me to believe that you just wanted a quick answer without even trying it yourself. Yes it is alright to ask for help, advice, and even full rotations as you did but going by that logic, it is also my right to refuse such a request, i don't understand why others' humor those such as yourself who don't even try but to each his own.

There are good assumptions and bad assumptions, from the wording of the question i made what i would think are reasonable assumptions which is that you should know that there are only 80 dura usable 3 star synths because the only 40 dura synth is the lucis token; however you asked for wolfram ingot. Now only you know if i made the right assumption or not and i'll prob get hate for it but. .

The simple fact of the matter is that there is no 3 or 4 star macro, you can't macro either which also renders the question mute. Your choices depend based on your craftsmanship which you had not provided so if anyone did provide you with a macro. There is a chance that the macro could fail because of insufficient craftsmanship. But really, you're asking for a rotation/macro when all we know for sure is that you have blacksmith and carpenter leveled to 50. You not only asked the wrong question, you didn't provide enough information for any kind of intelligent answer, so i didn't provide you with one. But here i'll try to not sound like a jerk and give you an answer based off of the provided information. Your overall choices are 4 or 5 progress steps. Using either a form of pbp + CSII or RS + CSII depending on your craftsmanship, if you don't have CSII, try using basic synthesis or get weaver to 15 and unlock the first CS, standard synth would be a waste of cp. Also, you don't want to go above 6 progress steps, cp food is your best friend. Pick a cheap 80 dura craft that costs < 10k and practice making a rotation that works for you, even if come out NQ you will break even.

EDIT 2: Why does it say you are on Zalera but you say you're on Balmung Oo strange, regardless; I have an alternate on Balmung. The pricing situation isn't that bad. You can make over 50k in less than 5 minutes and in under 7k crafting cost assuming you buy all the mats. So 40k+ profit. Make 10 items and that's 400k+, giving you more than 40 chances to practice. If you have reclaim, you can try a lot more until you find something you're comfortable with.

This whole premise is based on the assumption that he didn't try already which at the moment of posting you have no way of confirming either way. Your logic doesn't make you clever. It just makes you smug. If you don't feel like helping people what is the point of even posting that you don't want to help people. I don't get it.

I have tried before. It is also easy to forget something like if a synth is 40 or 80 Durability when a lot of mats that are a precursor; such as Cobalt Ingots, Electrum Ingots, ect are all 40 Durability, not 80 Durability like the Wolfram or Ancient Lumber. I was also not in game at the time of posting the question so I was unable to actually look.

I do a lot of crafting for my Free Company and have crafted very few items requiring Wolfram Ingots; Mainly just furniture items that didn't need HQ so I never bothered until yesterday to try to see if I can HQ. So yes, I did try on my own. I always try to do something on my own first to see if it's something I can figure out; but with how prices are on Balmung and the fact I am low on gil, I don't want to continuously waste my resources with trial and error.

Quite honestly your first response told me everything I need to know about how you don't like lending a helping hand and always seem to think those who try to reach out for help haven't tried everything in the book yet before they seek out guidance.

Honestly this... He assumed I hadn't tried before hand and that's what I don't like.. He not only assumed once, but twice. Even after my first response to him when I said I had tried it, he again stated. "Guess you haven't tried it yourself." Which quite frankly He should learn to read and not jump to conclusions. It just makes him sound like he's flaunting and taunting with knowing a good macro and doesn't feel like sharing just to top off the jerk attitude he's been displaying towards me.

Zephyr's a jerk, we all know that.. but he knows his stuff..

Basically the quote above, there's no macro for 3 star + crafts. You CAN use one that will result in 60-70% hq rate, but doing so manually will net you near 100%. People have posted rotations here so far and any of those should work.. just practice some more with wolfram ingots, you can even make terminus putty because nq terminus putty should still net you some profit depending on your server's economy and profit = free practice. Just work out the kinks and you'll get it down in no time.


Regarding Zephyr's assumptions, if it sounded like you were talking about the lucis tokens, I can understand why he wouldn't have an answer for you because.. well, lucis tokens are just so mind numbingly boring/easy (not the rotation, just how little you lose for failing it.. like 5000gil a try?)

I wouldn't doubt it with how much of an ass he is hell I got my own perma banned for giving someone a hard time about their atrocious spelling/grammar. The forum rules are a joke tbh.
