    To be honest... Why would want to have an off-topic forum to discuss things that are not related to FFXIV on a FFXIV forum?

    To be able to converse with the FFXIV community specifically about things not pertaining to FFXIV.

    Otherwise it would be difficult to get "FFXIV players" opinions on topics elsewhere.
