    Well, if balance truly is an issue, there's always the concept of giving something up as is the case in a few of OP's suggestions such as "You can cast healing spells whilst moving, however the potency for all healing spells is reduced by 50." As is there's little to no customization in the game. You get your job to 50 and gear it up with whatever you can get your hands on. The differences in one i130 set when weighted against another are minimally noticeable, not to say that they don't exist at all, but rarely, if ever, change how you play the job compared to the next person who plays that same job. Yoshi and Co. have had all of 2.0 to set a solid foundation of balance for the original jobs, I think it's time they experimented before they run into the problem of having another entire expansion of cookie cutter playstyles amongst the jobs.

    I don't want to add imbalanced loot, that is why some are usable by other classes and some have things everyone can use. (Sacrificing a bit of a main stat for an effect you want.)

    I just want similar effects to be different, however fun and stuff people will use to change their builds around to be unique and different.

    I'm really glad they've kept this kind of stat off gear. I don't want to get into a situation where you are required to have X item for Y content. I like the current gear progression system.

    Boring, Bland? =O You won't ever have that situation, because to even get the gear you have to do the zone. So you pretty much killed your point. Lol.

    I won't disagree but, a lot of the loot is basicly all the same. A lot of players are all the same.

    Given the choice between boring/bland and being pigeon holed because you don't have X item, whereas right now it's more "here's your goal, get here using the right combinations. This goal is vague."
    I'll take boring and bland. I played EQ1. I've seen how bad unique effects can get.
    Take a look at this item:

    Each and every one of those stats aside from the primary stats (ending at "Sv vs.") was at one point a "unique" effect. They became so necessary that now EVERY item has them.
    Meanwhile let's compared the bread and butter vanilla ice cream of MMOs, WoW:

    This item, while a bit more complex than our own items, has fewer stat requirements because of WoW lack of reliance on "special" stats, or at least their lack NOW after being forced to revamp their system (or so I heard).
    In short, it's important to keep allocations simple, or else you create...problems.

    I don't get this whole..if you don't have gear people wont invite you...

    We had some really nice stats in 1.0 on our gear: http://ffxiv.mozk-tabetai.com/

    ...and that pretty much never happened. Everything was still doable with melded gear and skill. It was always about skill...gear was just a little bonus. ilvl kind of ruined that, I suppose. Ugh. I may be wrong and it could have happened, but personally I never dealt with it, and I cleared tons of content with regular geared people. And anyway, the devs already said they are giving us more unique stats...maybe not THIS unique, but they did say they will slowly introduce us back to our 1.0 stuff, they just want to make sure its balanced properly ^_^

    Yes but again that happened in 1.0 and it worked fine >.> They just made sure something nice dropped for everyone, and people went to gear up their other jobs too, since we each got our own loot box it worked out perfectly (If you didn't get a drop, you got dark matter haha). There was literally 0 drama with that in 1.0, I really, really still don't see the problem lol.

    Edit: Wait..did you even look at the website and the gear stats? Did you not see my whole post where I said that it was in 1.0 and it was literally not a problem..ever haha. The only problem was the RNG lol.
