Hey Australian peoples! And everyone else who I love just as equally, even if you are geologically challenged!
I haven't been around much as you probably have/haven't noticed, so just wanted to see if anyone can fill me in on preordering the expansion?

My conclusion from googling today and looking at stuff is this - I am going to preorder the Mac version on the SE store (it only comes in a bundle with ARR and 3.0, and is not a collector's edition from what I can tell).

I would like to get a collector's edition of the expansion, and I have read online that physical collector's editions are not available in Australia/New Zealand (or they were and were incredibly expensive).
So, I am cool to not have a physical collector's edition if it is going to cost me $300 - $400 bucks... I'm assuming there will be a collector's edition for PS4 on the PlayStation store upon release?

You'll need to buy the expansion on every platform you wish to play it on so if you're also going to be playing it on Windows you'll need a separate copy for that, and a separate copy again if you have a Steam specific version, and a separate version again if you're playing it on PS4.

There will eventually be an upgrade option to CE, or any single version you pre-order can be CE and the CE digital items will carry over to every version (as all items do). Likewise you can pre-order any single version of the game (doesn't have to be CE) to get the pre-order bonus items.

PS4 and PC versions both have digital CE versions, not sure about Steam, PS3 or Mac though.

Physical CE's in the Oceania region were seriously understocked and over priced ;.;

I'm aware that you have to purchase per platform etc - and super excited I can play on Mac now, though might buy the expansion for PS4 too (I don't have a PC since 1.0 ). I was hoping to get a CE for PS4 or Mac, but couldn't find any info on digital CE versions - if they do the digital upgrade like they did with 2.0, then I'm okay with that!

In other news, I just watched the 2014 Annie. That was a mistake.

We're working with Valve to launch pre-orders for the digital standard edition and digital Collector's Editions sometime in May.

When will the digital pre-orders begin on the PlayStation®Network (for PS3/PS4)?

We're currently working with Sony on this and will share more information once we have it.
