Ishgard

Some mulling I had during the day, I have a feeling that to summon Zodiark, it needs to involve a lot of death, something like FF9 with Terra trying to merge with Gaia. Lahabrea and Elibidus are already controlling Ishgard leadership, and they mention the urgency of hastening the 'Ardor'. This of course coincides with the upcoming Dravarian war. With Midgar at our side, and is obviously on Hydaelyn's good side, the war might end up becoming a dragon vs Ascians at some point. Another point to add to this theory is that the dragons mentions the Sin of Ishgard. Would that be the Sin of being allied to the Ascians, and why this war is now triggered?

We will surely fight Iceheart again at some point. Though her being a echo user should make things interesting if she pulls off what the Sahagin Priest did as well. The one thing I wonder is if she'll just summon Shiva again, or fight with her own power (maybe even turn into a dragon?).

Nidhogg awakening will probably be inevitable for climax effect (final boss maybe?), and I expect Estinien will be the trigger for it. I'm curious to know how Midgar will react though, since we'll be killing a lot of his kids.

Uldah

As for things in Uldah, since there are still wild theories flying around about the Sultana, I won't be adding anything to that. Not to mention there's already 2-3 threads about it, so I'd rather speak of other things.

About Omega weapon, it was just mentionned for 1 patch before everything went to focus on Ishgard. Teledji being dead means Lolorito will be taking the reins of that project now. Can't say I can predict much about Uldah, since there's too many path at the moment.

Garleans

The war of Succession being over, I wonder how the Garleans will involve this time?
With Lolorito now in charge, he could potentially release Roaille from prison.

Not to mention that we have Lucia, a Pure Garlean who is a top rank in Ishgard. I have my doubt about her being Livia. Livia was a war orphan taken in by Gaius, so I think she was likely a hyur, and Gaius wasn't really racist considering he had a Roegadyn as a Legatus.
Lucia seemed to have been around in Coerthas for a long time to know the implications of the Dravarian war.

Job quest

From the monk picture in the Live Letter, we know that past trainer are coming back.

MONK:
I'm happy to see Widgargelt coming back (and I'm sad how horrible that AF2 looks on him), though I think the main point will again to travel around and open Chakra points. I'm more interested in seeing what Erik will be giving out as information, hopefully more things about Ala Mhidgo.

DRG:
Estinien returning was a surprise to me. I'm not exactly sure he'll be back in the DRG story line though, since he is now a major character in the 3.0 line since he is connected to Nidhogg. I imagine the majority of the quest will be with Alberic still, would like him to tell us more about Dragoon lore.

WAR:
Curious George's brother being back, I'm guessing we'll learn more about their village. I'm hoping we'll visit it at some point, but I recall they mentioned that it was abandoned or something.

PLD:
With Uldah as it is, I want the new trainer to be Solkzagyl. He is pretty chill compared to Jenlyns.

NIN:
Things ended rather well for this storyline, but I would like to see more of Karasu, although he is no longer a Ninja at this point. Other then that, I'm not sure how the story will follow up.

BLM:
Not to sure how this one will continue, the main point being to close the Void gates being done.

SMN:
More Y'mhitra please! Hopefully she'll actually mention her sister now. I know that it was mentioned in a letter that we'll learn more of Y'shtola's past, so that will be exciting. The Ascian that helped What's-his-face should also make a comeback.

Here's my prediction:
1. We come in.
2. Do a bunch of fetch quest.
3. Gain ishgard trust.
4. Dragons attack.
5. More fetch quests.
6. Some plot twist.
7. Everything's cleared up, dragons are the good guys actually but we have to kill the real evil dragon by doing a series of fetch quests and a not so hard trial but everyone can't beat it so people will whine in the forums.
8. Kill some primals because why not.
9. We rescue the scions who are alive actually oh and save the other guy
10. More fetch quests
11. Everyone is happy and hopeful
12.Some previews for the next expansion which will probably involve uldah.
13. Some more previews of ascians giggling in the background sayings it's all part of their plan.

I'll just skip to the end. I want the final boss to be the Ascien controlled Archbishop, who summons a twisted version of Halone to fight.

I'm wondering if the Isle of Val's fate is tied into Heavensward, or if it will be saved for another type of endgame content (like Crystal Tower's successor). I was under the impression it was located near Dravania.

The "Sharlayan" on the map is actually a colony founded by settlers from the real Sharlayan, which is on a continent north of Aldenard, not part of Eorzea. The Isle of Val is, or at least was, there. Also, raids and MS seem to be separate continuities to the writing team, so I doubt they'd drop a plot point that major only to make it an isolated stand-alone story. Then again...

Speaking of Crystal Tower, I'm hoping it will be dragged into canon (don't care how) once Cid starts poking around the Floating Continent. Not actually expecting to see the tower itself, G'raha, Eureka, or even Nero again until the late 3.X, early 4.X cycle, but the last shred of goodwill I have towards that story will vanish if Cid goes the entire expansion without bringing it up again.

Speaking of Floating Continent: Garleans, right? Gotta have Garleans in there somewhere. I bet we'll need an alliance with Ishgard and a slightly-more-stable Ul'dah on our side to keep them from using it to destroy Eorzea.

Personally I'd like to see us, the Warrior of Light, take on more of a leadership role. At least until we get the Scions back. Less of npcs telling us "You need to go here and do this." And more of "I need to go here and do that."

Unfortunately the nature of an MMO makes it that way. They need to keep you busy so even though you are supposed to be this all powerful hero of the realm you are still basically a personal assistant to the likes of Alphanerd who goes to drink tea with all the important people while you run around doing menial tasks that your underlings should be handling.

My main prediction is basically above. We will start getting close to Ishgard helping them in their war until some major plot twist we find out we were duped again and Iceheart isn't such a bad person afterall. We'll then fight the Ascians again and free Ishgard from their trickery after which it will rejoin the alliance. Iceheart will probably die to show us how dumb we are (Honestly why do they need to make us look like an idiot all the time?). I kind of want her to live though and become part of the new entourage if some others are staying dead.

I want some to stay dead because if they lived it will cheapen those scenes and what they were willing to sacrifice to save us.
