    New to tanking

Ok, so recently I started my MRD class cause I wanna get a WAR, but now I've seen Dark Knight and would love to do that job. Should I ditched the WAR and go for DKN or stick with the WAR?

FYI: Again I have no tanking experience, been only to 2 dgns for tanking. My problem was I couldn't keep hate. Any tips for that? Like what rotation I should use? Any tips are welcome

Since you are new to tanking and WAR does seem the closest to what DRK will be, you might as well practice all you can as a WAR Tank.

You might want to level your GLD a little bit to cross-class Flash, since its a good tool.
On every mob, use overpower at least 2 or 3 times, making sure you hit all targets, then weave between enemies and do your basic agro combo on anything that is too close to be lost.

Here is A Visual Guide to Tanking you might like to take a peek on.

Also, do your MRD lvl 15 and 30 quests. It is important.

The tanking forums have a lot of great info. Here is one that will give you a macro for quick target marking.

first of all, you need to lvl up a gladiator first and foremost to be able to become a warrior and second to get provoke as it's really important for tank swaps and flash as a second aoe aggro.( you will need provoke mostly after 50 but it's good to have it from start).

For dungeons i recommend starting with overpower and always mark your targets so dps can follow your killing order and don't get unecessary aggro. You can overpower/flash again during the fight to keep mobs on you.

For boss fights its always recommended to start with a tomahawk then follow your single target rotation.

Most guides refer to lvl 50 where all skills are available but imo the best thing is to take your time to learn the class and therefore the usefullness of each skill and don't just rush into things. Let other players and mostly your healer know you are new so he can be extra careful for your hp. Warrior is really cool and imo the most badass class of all so make sure to enjoy playing. Good luck!!!

P.S: I didn't include thorough skill rotation as i don't know your current level and what skills are available but i think you have already figured your aggro building combo ( Heavy Swing - Skull Sunder - Butcher's Block). 90% of players will of course start a dark knight but i doubt all of them have the overall experience of tanking regardless of PLD or WAR so its better to lvl up a tank to get to know the basics so you can be more effective as a tank when dark knight is released...

Whatever happens, there'll probably be useful cross class skills from both gladiator and marauder that you'll want as a DK, and the general principles of tanking never change so you're not going to be disadvantaged if you level one or both classes now.

It's also always useful to know how other classes that do your role work, it helps you understand a bit better about their relative advantages and disadvantages.

You have two months before DRK becomes available. Level up your warrior and get yourself used to Threat management as well as Mob control. Learn how much a tank can hold and how much a beating they can take. But Also I recommend getting a Gladiator up to level 22 for Provoke.

22 Glad gets you Flash / Convelescence / Provoke.

There are two things you should be doing to prepare:
    1. Learn the role of tank and get experience. That way, you will have a much smaller learning curve on DRK.
    2. Acquire all the cross class skills from existing tank classes. Assuming they can cross class GLA, Provoke will be essential. Level GLA now and you won't have to spend time on it later.

You still need to leveling both tanks to get the cross class abilities for the other tanks, so just max out all tank classes imo. It also help you to understand what your co-tank partner job can do too, in case if you wanna have a raid team
