See that's the problem... I believe people still think the RMT controls most of the market when they don't. We cannot cap ourselves just because RMTs are here being "scary." Frankly, if you were on Behemoth you would see that most of the people on my server have 5+million Gil. How do I know that? I have been there since the game started and I have grouped/played with people.

I am not choosing to remain stuck I just don't want to lose my Gil that I earned.

I'd be surprised if 10% of the shards sellers are human, on any server. For materias there are more legitimate players but not that much. As I thought, you might be really naive about the reality of FFxiv's crafting.

You can make them again on an other server. If you were truly stuck, you'd change. I had 13m on Balmung, but wasn't able to do anything relevant in PvE at my play time, so I changed to an european server, and now I'm at 800k gils, because I have nothing to do with them. If I wanted, I could make them back. I just don't because whatever.

On the other hand, I'm no longer stuck, so I win.

Meanwhile you remain stuck. I wonder why.

Think outside the box then. So you don't want to lose gil?

How do you prevent that?

Check the Market of the place you are going to. See if perhaps there are items which go for more that you could profit off of or break even on.

Savage Might IV, Savage Aim IV, craft/gather materia, you have variety. So maybe you take your gil invest in 10 Savage Mights IV and then sell them on the server you move to. SO maybe you bought them for 400k but you can only get 300k on that server, yes it's a 100k loss per sale but overall you still make about 3mil which is still 2 more mil that you would of had had you just moved to the server without investing first.
