So dragoons used to have a special mount... (the bench).

What they need to do is add more benefits for being a tank. I wanted to be a WHM main but even the damn Ex Roulette queues are long. Gonna start making my Warrior Relic soon and even both jobs.
Everything is bearable with music
Too bad the tank mount isnt even rewarded for roulette... It's for EX/Coil where tanks have all the incentive they need"Wehhhhh mommy, they're getting special toys and I'm not getting any! I want some!"
That's what I'm hearing. And you know what? Tank still comes up as the most common "adventurer in need" on Duty Roulette. Even with all the incentives, there still aren't enough tanks.
But, y'know what? You're right. Let's give special class mounts to all the classes. And ninety million gil. And instant level fifty on everything.
Don't tank? That's fine. You don't get the special reward for it. Want 'em? Man up and tank.
Actually, looking back, I probably was a little harsh. I should probably refrain from posting after work...Is all that really necessary? I understand your point of view, but really there's no reason to be a dickhead when someone is just stating an opinion.
Anyway, white mages also get a mount all to their own, so I don't really see why it would be out of the question. I often wondered about that myself. I know they included incentives specifically for tanks, but i think the main reason why tanks and sometimes healers are in such short supply is because of a lack of variety. I usually tank in MMOs myself, but neither paladin or warrior really appeal to me. I do intend on trying dark knight out in the expansion however.
Anyway, I didn't even know there WAS a CNJ mount. What point I was trying to make was when something unique is given to everyone, it stops being unique. And, I can see your point of a lack of variety in Tank/Healer, because it's hard to design around a general goal of "Keep all the things on you" and "keep everyone alive" with deviation. It's not impossible (see: preventative medicine with SCH) and high DEF vs high HP. DPS is easier because there are more ways to go "make things dead".
It is good you're willing to give tank a shot, though.
And again, sorry about being so brash.
That's kinda dumb.
BUILDING KICK!
But you say why they're rewarding players for leveling tank jobs right there in your post. They're trying to encourage more people to fill those roles in party so dps queues aren't quite as long, and newer players can get content done. We don't need to be encouraged to level dps jobs any more than we already are. If you want the tank mount, you'll level a tank job and get it. If you don't feel tanking is for you, then you'll either do without or you'll retire your tank once you have the mount. Same goes for pvp. If you want it you'll work for it, if you don't you won't. If the mount isn't important enough to you to put in the work for it, then it shouldn't be important enough to complain over. Non-issue. :PAnyone ever wonder if se will ever make special mounts for the rest of the jobs instead of just tanks. I understand that they are trying to make more people play tank jobs. But shouldn't they expand that to more then just tank jobs. Like to the healer jobs and the dps. I feel kinda left out that I see all these posts about tank jobs getting special mounts and I don't play tank jobs. I really think Se needs to get there heads outta just tank jobs get special mounts or pvpers get special mounts and not the rest of the jobs. Anyone agree with me?

Actually Im speculating that the new dragon mount is actually dragoons special mount...but we will just have to wait and see.
The reason I say this is because each time they showed the dragon mount, it is always some dragoon riding it.
No you won't. As some have stated, none of the content you do before level 50 counts towards that 200. Additonally, not all of the content you can do after 50 counts, either. But you say why they're rewarding players for leveling tank jobs right there in your post. Maybe having a healer(general), casting(general) and melee/physical(general) specific mounts, and not job-based ones. Also, if they want to rememdy the tank issues, there needs to be more than just a mount that you only acquire from end game content.
