Your derpiest noob moments

Not sure if relevant posting place, but I can't think of any lulsy noob moments I've done.

- Used to Fluid Aura the Slime Boss in Wanderer's Palace into the targeted player trying to kill them.
- Fluid Aura'n Blue Golem into the others during T9 (This was an accident)

I have quite a lot derp moments on regular basis. Some because I am tired. Like yesterday: I helped a friend get his first clears in some dungeons. In Stone Vigil HM we were just past the 2nd boss when I noticed I forgot to activate my stance as monk completely. In my defence, it was 1:30 am in the morning after a long day...

lol Ramuh EX in our lil random Raidroulette with static... our war was on nin... he died to an overlap and the moment I raise I realized he forgot his poison. I went "Shim! Kiss!" in chat all were a bit "wtf!?" for 30 seconds till he got what i meant X.x
PS ninja stances are poisons called Kiss of the Wasp or Kiss of the Viper
PPS its now a running gag in the static whenever someone is only a second on rogue or ninja

I shouldn't have disabled the active help windows, but i was so annoyed because because i got 12 new ones every time i breathed.

First time seeing a flame arrow thought it was a enemy aoe.

A simple one...
Tanking in Toto-rak, I go running and take a wrong turn to a dead end to where all my party members follow, then I do a 180 turn to fix our route with a "whops".

In my defense, playing dungeons as a tank without mini-map can be troublesome :|
(more often than not I also get lost in Halatali)

LoTA - King Behemoth. Ran to a comet when KB started casting and mistook the whirlwinds for the swirling, player-harmless Ninja AoE DoT... and stood in it to stay behind the comet...... and then died in a silent fit of 'wtf is hitting me??' *facepalm*

Second or third time in Titan HM near release on my SCH.

1.) Target Tank. Toss some heals, all going well.
2.) During the heart phase I decide to help DPS a bit since the tank is topped off (My wife being the tank).
3.) Heart dies, Titan does his thing, everyone back to places and start killing Titan again.
4.) Tank losing HP, casting heals as fast as possible, health still going down. (Didn't use Cleric stance on heart).
5.) Tank dies, realize didn't re-target tank after heart, been healing myself.
6.) Wife unhappy with me.

I went into AK (normal pre-nerf) for the first time blind as the healer, but I didn't tell anybody because I was afraid I'd get kicked for being new. I just kept getting caught in Demon Wall's aoes and thrown off the side because I couldn't figure out his pattern over like 10 attempts. When we finally got to the final boss and my map achievement came up, revealing my deceit, the party didn't explode or kick me or anything. They just said I should've told them I was new so they could explain things. I've never gone into a dungeon for the first time since then without announcing that I'm new.

My first time tanking CT I grab hate on the big dragon thingy right away and drag it to the side out of the way. Then I see the giant rear aoe and finally remember I'm supposed to tank it facing the alliance, not away.

As Dragoon on KB in CT, when he was casting Meteor and I was already behind a comet I figured I had enough time to get a standard Jump off that would put me safely back behind the comet. I landed the jump but didn't return. I wondered why until I noticed I had hit Spineshatter Dive instead. That same fight, I used LB2 immediately when it was available, about a second after he had started casting Meteor again. I died again, of course.

Psyching myself up to MT Titan EX on my eventually successful run, "Remember, Tempered Will so I don't get knocked off by 5-way landslide again. Tempered Will on 5-way landslide." 5-way landslide comes up with two lines facing me; try to get to a safe spot and get knocked off. Hit the ground and think, "Why didn't I just use Tempered Will!?" Fortunately, the DRG and MNK (the OT and both other DPS had long ago been knocked off) were absolutely amazing and ripped through over 30% of Titan's health together on top of duoing the adds. The SCH got the win for us, though, as the only one left standing.

I got black mage to 50 a long time ago and have been using it for raiding, and just recently looking at my stats I realized I had put attribute points into mind and piety for some reason. Luckily I had one of those strat attribute changing things on me and so I fixed it.

For the dye quest, I shouted to know where to find orange juice, was told to go buy it in Ul'dah and I blindly did the whole trek back in town to get one.

Months later, I learn there is a vendor just behind the Quest NPC that sells them.

During one particularly boring Stone Vigil run, while in front of the last boss and waiting for the healer to get through the story cutscene, I took on /throwing snowballs to the boss for fun.

I was on BRD, and on entering the emote over and over I've hit Enter one too many times.
