This part i know but thanks for posting, i was just wondering cause ive heard rumors of if your perception is to high it can mess with your catch rate of certain big fish feel nice just to vent some anger also ^^

The low perception prevents you from catching HQ Olgois and the rumors are/were that NQ fish requires less gathering to reel in past the requirement, thus easier to catch with lower perception. Though for Gigant Clams I did a test and proved the reel in rates to be exact same with high and low perception. Only difference was that I got no HQs with low perception. What we don't know and haven't tested is if this varies between each fish.
