Lord Lolorito (spoilers)

I'm pretty sure Lolorito's end game is Omega. The question is how he can distract the other GCs so he can get free access to it. Frankly I suspect he thinks that if he can gain control of it with the scions and WoL out of the way, he will be in a position to dictate terms to the other city states. We are talking about a weapon designed by the Allag to take on Bahamut.

Now I won't be surprised if it runs deeper than that. However I'm pretty sure Omega is key. The Monetarists have moved out of the relative safety of their previous position to seize direct power. They will know they have drawn a lot of hostility and running around the open world talking to npcs shows their current influence outside Ul'dah is limited. Not so much that you can do whatever you want. Your still a wanted fugitive by Ul'dah law and that puts pressure on the other city states. But enough that they can't easily hunt you down or demand the other city states detain you.

It would be interesting if Lolorito is a 3.XX trial boss with Omega. No wait we already had that Ultima fight... Twice. I know, he'll reappear as a boss in the lv 60 culinarian quest so he can embarrass us infront of the Sultana Nanamo... Given the continuity of the lv 50 culinarian quest it would be cannon. A bit awkward, (since were also wanted) but cannon.

The main antagonist in 3.0 should initially be Nidhogg, as Ishgard will have no resources for fixing Eorzean problems until they can stop worrying about their city being burnt to the ground by dragons. Once that's done, I hope we can get Aymeric, Kan-E and Merlwyb together and make a plan to jailbreak Raubahn and realise Nanamo's dream of a free and equal Ul'Dah. How/when Omega ties into that will be interesting.

Then there's a third party who will try to use Alexander to lay waste to something/someone for whatever reason. Death and destruction all around.

Also, there's a couple of brass blade NPCs in Ul'Dah that tell you to lay low and they won't say anything sort-of-thing if you walk around the city after finishing the story. Basically, after all you've done for them they're not going to take the Syndicate's word for just anything.

Interesting thought. If it was designed to take on Bahamut, surely using it against his lesser brother wouldn't be impossible.

Something people seem to not take into account is that, that's not Bahamut, not in the strictest since. We've never seen Bahamut. The creature that wrecked havoc in the End of an Era was not the "real" Bahamut anymore than King Moggle Mog is the "real" Moggle Mog (assuming he ever actually existed at all), nor is Icehearts Shiva the "actual" shiva from history. Bahamut was long dead by the time Omega weapon was created (the details of which we'll probably get in Heavensward). Omega was designed to take on a Primal, specifically the Bahamut primal. That's a very different thing than a flesh and blood dragon. You can't necessarily "absorb" or otherwise "subjicate" a dragon using something designed to absorb a particular Aetheric entity.

Also, Lesser Brother? That's an awfully big assumption. Given how we know almost nothing about any of Midgardsormr's first brood, I don't think we can put them in a hierarchy just yet

I just hope Shinryu doesn't share in Bahamut's sad fate and get demoted to "son of Midgardsormr" for our omega tie-in.

Lolorito effectively controls Rev. Toll under the Crystal Braves, so will have relatively easy access adventurers and countless allagan researchers. Many immortal flames members are also under his control.

While I could see him being an antagonist in the post 3.0 patches, my own belief is that Teledji's plans were all his own, with Lolorito mostly just keeping tabs/reacting to make sure it worked out better for him in the long run. Raubahn himself said around the time that Omega was revelead that Lolorito was always the better planner of the two, and Teledji going to the extremes that he did could in part be trying to finally surpass him. At the very least even if it was all Lolorito's plan I don't think he expected Teledji to piss off Raubahn...stupid, stupid move.

As for Omega itself...well without Teledji and regardless of Ascian involvment, Lolorito is the one in the best position villiany wise to make a grab for it.

As for controlling RT: I'm not sure how many canon Adventurers there are, but if they try to be too overt they'll probably end up kicked out. At the very least Rowena would probably offer up some nice deals. Hell, we'd probably go for it depending on the deal.
