The impression I got was that you can level ALL of the crafts to 60 but your specialization choices unlock extra skills for those classes. Effectively you will be able to craft basic stuff with every craft but you will only be able to craft the particularly difficult stuff with three of them. As much as some people will bemoan this we needed it desperately to stimulate the economy a bit. As it stands at the moment there is far too much supply for everything and prices plummet far too quickly.

So long as crafted materials don't fall under these specialties like how Wootz Ingots, Ebony Lumber, Platinum Ingots, etc. are all 4-star crafts and pretty much require Lucis tools AND second master recipe books to craft, I'm fine with the specialty system. Specialty crafts should be finished items like weapons, armor, consumables, etc.

I understood that the idea is making things easier than now. Now you need all the classes to top level, to have all the cross-class skills to make the most difficult items. In the future, you may skip levelling all classes to the top level by specialisation, so you wil have the option to go one way or the other to be able to make the most difficult recipes.

Sounds more like it's the exact opposite from the translation Bayohne provided. Specialization will make it easier to make the items in your speciality without needing all other classes at 60 as well. People with all classes maxxed should still be able to make the items, but they'll have to wait until they're all maxxed.
