I literally could not care less about PVP, but locking it based on GCs seems daft. Just add a feature to let people queue up as mercenaries (optional of course, in case people want to stick with their own GC for personal RP reasons) and put them in to fight for whichever one is under represented.

I'd love to be able to duel my friends one on one, then again I guess that would make it even easier to trade wins like what's happening in the TT tournaments, still I hope they don't give up on the PvP aspect completely.

The PvP community is a very small minority. It could use a lot more attention from SE, but its priority seems to be reeaallly low. A temporary solution I would recommend, would be the equivalent of the echo buff to raids.

Include a check box (like join in progress) that will let you join ANY grand company in front lines if there is a shortage. What do you guys think?
Nothing could get me to go back to that. If I want pvp, I'll play Dark souls, something that takes skill. And before anyone says skill is involved in this game, it's not. It's pure numbers. You can be crap geared to nothing in dark souls and win a 3 on 1 match. Let's any 1 class crush 3 people at once.

Im all for people getting the GC locks removed to play with there friends. But getting rid of pvp abilities as some suggest would take away my nin gap closer and tanks best usages in pvp. nopenopenopenope

I would PVP more if PVP gear meant something in Frontlines.

I don't know if I'd do more PvP NOW with this restriction lifted, but back when Frontlines was first introduced my friends and I tried it out for a bit, just to give it a shot. We found it to be fairly fun, but our interest died off pretty quickly since we couldn't do it as a party.

That said, even if they made it party-friendly now, I don't think we'd be likely to come back.

I loved pvp the few times I tried it. But I'm awful at it. XD

Here is my list of issues (similar to some of yall's)
-Can't just grab a bunch of friends and go.
-I get the lore reasons for the GC restriction, but I think it needs to go. It's not like the GC itself gets anything from one of their teams winning. :/
-Extra abilities that I have no xbar space for and don't understand fully (The tooltips explain what these abilities do, but it doesn't make sense [to me at least] until you are already familiar with pvp. )
-Jobs keep getting nerfed/buffed and I can't keep up with the changes. (Mostly cause I don't pvp enough.)
-No clue what we're supposed to be doing in there. I'll admit it's been months since I've been in pvp, but the strategies/goals make 0 sense to me. I kinda feel it could use a pop-up info screen like on guildhests (but optional). :/ The team trails it's way around and takes over a flag position... then leaves? <Huh?> Or we stop fighting each other (somewhat) to kill things in the middle of the field?

Ok, this last one is kind of a special situation. I'm on a JP server and barely speak any JP. This works out awesomely for everything BUT pvp. The GC restrictions hurt my FC and other EN FCs on my server a LOT. We could coordinate if we could go together. But getting 24 from just one GC in my FC ain't gonna happen. That being said, when I last went to pvp hardly anyone actually seemed to plan anything. Each group took a different direction (similar to how we organize CT).

An idea? Besides removing GC restriction, perhaps fill in spots with npcs? I don't know if this is even possible (and yeah, I get the irony of this). But I really love how fast the chocobo racing queues are (apples and oranges, I know ><) due to spots being fill with npcs so that I don't have to wait.

I would PVP more if the duty finder algorithm was adjusted that it didn't take forever to get in a match. 30min+ is just no. Whether it be faster matches by removing certain restrictions, I don't care. But I don't want to be stuck in such long queues.

The sad thing is they made PVP gear not do anything in frontlines to keep it balanced and easy to get in to, but what this did was remove any real reason to do it at all and deter the people who actually care about PVP in mmos from actually doing it. Those people who they made it "easy to get in to" don't do frontlines anymore anyways, they stopped after the hype when it first came out. PVP gear needs to give an advantage, what they don't seem to realize is that all 3 teams will have people with pvp gear evening the odds but helping players who invest time feel rewarded for their effort. When you buy that first piece of i110 pvp gear it should feel amazing, not just "oh I spent some marks on something I might glamor"

Also they really need to fix the rewards for wolfsden, it gives hardly any reward at all compared to fronrlines, which is why noone does it at all anymore.

I just dont think the combat in this game is very good for PvP. Plus there is like a single arena type BG? Im not even sure why they added it. Probably to test the waters on how popular PvP would be... meaning I wouldnt expect any expansion to it any time soon. Who knows, maybe whatever combat changes theyre making with the combat in Heavensward will give it the boost it needs for players to enjoy it more.

The GC thing might help though. There is really no point in making everyone wait for individual queues if its really just a random fight with no factions or relation to the story.
