On the other hand, sometimes even this would please me. As BLM, I've been in too many parties with 1 or more bards and had to specifically ask for it. 50/50 whether or not I actually get it after asking.

As SCH I request it, too; once I had a bard claim that it wouldn't help much, anyway. I gently pointed out that his full MP bar wasn't helping much, either, and he started playing it.

Well, to be honest, Foe requires as much precision with its cast as WHM's heals for Tank Busters. If I don't start casting Foe three seconds before the pull, too many spells'd lose some spice. Especially true on speedruns with Holy spam/BLM's Fire spells spam.

In other news, just yesterday I was on SV run on DF. One bad wipe on the pull because BLM aggro'd one add of the pack just when tank went ahead to grab another pack and I stayed behind to help out BLM. That's still okay, but the last boss drained me of all my energy. And MP, heh. In the middle of the fight, tank was staying pretty low on HP (bad accidental cones hit him), and DPS constantly were getting into AoE. Result? Both DPS dead, me and tank on dangerously low HP playing a dance around the AoE. Since I'm lazy to level THM, no Swiftcast for me, but, at least, the AoE patern wasn't anything complicated. Brought up NIN back on his legs for his LB2, raised BLM, party saved. Blessed be Shroud and Seal.

ugghhh.. you should've asked why the bard played a bard as their dmg is lower compared to melee (especially a songless bard).

I did give them a cheeky, "Why do you play Bard when you don't even play any songs?"

And he was kind of like, "Why should I lower my DPS?!"

I've met stupid--heck--I've been stupid myself before (you should see me on a melee, it's actually quite hilarious), but this is a whole new level.

A lot of Bards don't seem to understand their class. They play like an Archer DPS instead of a support class that buffs the party. Or you get the ones like "But you never asked me to play the song" which is the lamest excuse ever. It's like a Healer saying "But you never asked me to heal you"

Yeah, a lot of Bards tend to go for MAD DEEPS and pretty much ignore their support abilities. Why not play Black Mage if you want to MAD DEEPS at a range?

I play bard fairly often and can't stand when there's a shit ton of Bards in the alliances - and none of them are playing a damn thing except me. Sure, I'm glad to be able to play and shine there as a bard who actually WANTS to use the entire tool kit, but ugh. Even worse when there's two of us in the same alliance and I'm footing the Foes and Ballad mp-bill by myself at all times. Makes it hard to play either one due to lack of MP, when shit suddenly starts hitting the floor (healer dies and raised, etc) - and I've had Foes on for a while. I carry a stock of Hi-, X-, etc ethers, but that's really not super great mp return. They only really extends the ballad for two seconds.

I need to just "/A Dear other Bards. Y U NO PLAY?" and see what idiotic reasons they throw out.
At the very least, Foes is free mage deeps without the cost of any bard deeps. *Jackiechanface*
Oh well. More good feelings of usefulness, for me. /shrug

My horror... second to last WoD. EVERYONE wipes at Angra, 5 times. 5-headed takes a year and a half to kill. We just barely completed the raid before time was up.
No lockout = no brains, apparently.

Yesterday's WoD was my first bad WoD since latest patch...

Seriusly, all went so slow, all DPS were or BLM or BRD, only me as a NIN and another person as a MNK were the melee DPS... but my Healer friend went Healer berserk mode supporting our own alliance and another one (which had the MT) by herself D:

The other healer in our alliance was so focused on complaining even tho he was a trainwreck himself (I died to angra because he didnt move out of the purple ring when I was stuck >:| )

And the healers on the MT alliance were just... not healing...

We almost wiped to Cerberus at 5% since no one was chaining it!! Had to learn how to chain it right there and then OTL

Somehow, we only wiped once to the whole raid but... had there been just one more wipe, Im pretty sure the thing would have crumbled...

Ive had a healer refuse to heal my DRG because i would use bloodbath when i know a raid AOE is coming, His response was if i wanted to heal myself then i didn't need him healing me. Q_Q

Because a DPS looking after themselves is so bad for the Healer >.>. I'm happy when somebody can handle themselves i can focus on handling other things in the raid. They sound like a right sociopath.

I did that the other day in Bray on my low level hyur DRG, actually - with all intentions of just giving the healer relax time to focus on the tank. A 'don't worry about me'. No one said anything, but I hope I didn't insult them, as well. o.Oa I guess it could be interpreted as "you don't trust me therefore I'm insulted", but.... not the initial intention x.x
