Having an unconscious-due-to poisoning of Nanamo will work in the favor of the syndicate.

Since she's not yet dead, they'll assign somebody to rule (Lolorito?) while she "recuperates" that said person can then consolidate as much power and eliminate the opposition and make laws to pretty much make themselves the sultan. Or find somebody else in the Ul line.

Why do we have to put HB tags for a thread called Story Discussion/Spoiler? Seems redundant.

I think the story is poor, your character is reduced to a nodding buffoon doing whatever someone tells you. How are you supposed to get any sense of heroism if others make all your choices?

I think some people misunderstood the first post.

Speaking of spoilers… I’m sure everyone will be super excited to talk about everything that happens, but we'd appreciate it very much if you can hold off on posting any spoilers on the forums. If you just can't hold it back and need to talk to someone about what you experienced, then please use this thread to discuss the main scenario quests in Patch 2.55.

Naturally, we aren't going to prohibit you from talking about Patch 2.55 content in other threads, but if major spoilers are posted without any warning or care, we will be removing these posts and/or threads.

In the event you are going to make a post containing spoilers, please be sure to use the "HB" tags to hide it from view.

as you can see, he is asking us to put the HB tags in posts containing spoilers other than this thread. what makes more sense though is to only post in threads that say [spoilers] rather than that.

This depends on how far Lolorito and the Lady in waiting were in on the plan compared to Teledj who believed he was the mastermind of it all.

Teledj would most likely kill the Sultana, Lolorito would potentially use it as leverage to incapacitate her.

Lolorito wanted to eliminate Teledj, so saying that the Sultana was killed and having Teledj be the fall man favored him because he knew how Raubahn would react to the situation.

With Teledj dead Lolorito has more control over claiming Carteneau. With that in mind he has no reason to kill the Sultana in those circumstances however because of how things have turned out a huge power struggle is now occuring.

Scions get blamed so that the "crystal braves" could be used as a puppet army to fight for "the syndicate" but under the guise of the scion, making their negative actions impact the integrity of the Scions.

Capturing the Scions would of served the purpose of allowing them to hide them from the public eye and make excuse that they were causing the Crystal Braves to do what they are doing

Crystal Braves and Brass Blades enter Carteneau, Grida, LL, Ulda fighting for their sides but unknown to them CB and BB are working for the Syndicate. The power struggle for the land weakens the three forces and the Syndicate lays the killing blow to claim the territory.

If that's Lolorito's true goal then yes, Sultana could still be alive if he was in control of the poison that the lady is waiting used on her.

Actually, that could be an interesting plot, but I don't think that 's the case. I think he's from the royal line but would be weird if he was Nanamo's and Rau's son.

Can they even have a child if they are from different races? :O

Looks like Failstrom and Badders really lived up to their names on this one… Nice to see your true cowardly colours, GC leaders. One day I'll crush your very souls by mine own hand! People say that the results of this meeting caused many adventurers to flee the Flames, but for me, if anything, the events that transpired have further rooted my support of General Raubahn. One day I'll free him from his cage and the Bull will be let loose on those turn-coat politicians and would-be matadors, with me as his left arm. By fire be purged!

That's kinda what I was thinking. With the Crystal Braves under the control of the Syndicate (Trolorito) This will give them an advantage in Cartenau.

Who knows, maybe this will give a lore explanation to get rid of the GC restrictions, since now its the GCs vs Syndicate

Just finished this storyline and while I LOVED it, the passivity of my character bothered me a bit. SE, please look at how Bioware gives your MMO character some choices in SWtOR. It doesn't have to be anything dramatic, but a few choices to change the course of a cutscene (even if the outcome is the same or not significantly different) would enhance the roleplaying aspect.

Reactions like this make me wonder if people realize just how *badly* things would have gone if either of the leaders had interfered. Maybe not in the short term, but in the long run it'd have basically given the Syndicate proof that the other leaders were actively plotting against Ul'dah, shattering the alliance completely. They *can't* get directly involved in the internal affairs of Ul'dah without repercussions. Politics just don't work like that. They'd have to kill or cowl every person in that room to keep it from getting out, and they'd *still* need a fall guy/girl to stop the rumors from spreading to the point where it is an issue.

They did the right thing. Whether you agree with it or not is another story, but calling them cowards is just showing that you don't have a grasp of the larger picture.

I wonder if this is Nidhogg? This dragon is displayed prominently in promos. It also has 4 eyes and the DRG af has 4 eyes.



I am more interested in WHY missing an eye makes him so weak?
