I finished the story line and I must say... I really hate you guys at SE! D:<
Why Nanamo!? Why!? She was one of my favorite characters! From a story standpoint, I kinda get why the writers did that but come on! This game is turning into Game of Thrones. -_- I'm glad that at least they killed that Lala bastard though, and I always knew about Uriangier, he always seemed shady to me.
Other than that, nice work, kinda looking forward to the story in the expansion, plus I love Tataru now. :P

*Nanamomight NOT be dead, what she drank was just a tranquilizer, maybe her hand maiden faked her death to save her?... but most likely i think she is dead.
*Scionsno dead body = not dead.
*Uriangermaybe not shady or evil, it seems like "he was summoned" and it didnt look like he was pleased about it. Urianger might have answered the whitey's earlier discussion about diplomacy and thought he had no choice now except to go to him.
*Teldiji Adelji(w/e his name) might just taken advantage(bc he is a greedy Ahole like that) of the situation... and not the mastermind(but got the vengeance of Raubhan's blade)... maybe Lolorito was the main man or maybe he was Ascian too? but why was he not pleased at the end, even though it looked like everything happened in his favour? maybe he is being controlled (not literally) by Ascians and felt like what happened was way too much?.
*Ending shot of your character standing in front of the Gates of Judgement > Beginning of the Heavensward trailer.

So... after all, Is nanamo dead or not?
Now, is that Lolorito's cover story? or is she really alive?2

Add me to the hate list, the meeting, Goblet, maiden holding the bottle all cliché.. from the first glance I knew that will happen..
Now for original thing to happen is that I hope that Lolorito was behind the death-faking idea.. for whatever reason
But bring back Nanamo... I think she is not dead but will take a long way to get back to the lights.. (I hope).
Some thoughts about what happened
I liked a lot the Tataru story line, and since Tataru's crying image was so commented I think we all expected to have some very bad news with him. An anticlimax part. Tataru did put a strange evil face in some moment of the story later.
About the scions, I also think they will probably be alive. The ones who look in more danger are Thancred and Yshtola if the tunnel falls on top of them because of Yshtola's attack. The rest might just be caught. But it may be also they disappear from the main story for the time being, and they can be recovered later when the story turns back to Ul Dah and they can be liberated. Let's see.
About Nanamo, I thought she was being poisoned maybe by some slow poison in several doses, since Raubahn already had noticed she didn't feel well and wasn't acting completely as herself. That instant poison was a surprise. Let's see how that part of the story is solved.
By how the story ends it seems like if we would start in Ishgard from scratch or nearly. Alphinaud work is in great part lost, the Scions seem to be in great part disbanded etc. If the new storyline is centered mainly in Ishgard, maybe not too many things will happen in Ul Dah and it is kept in a sort of provisional situation.
But the Ascians and the Empire are alive and kicking so Eorzea should still be the center of the story, even if we will have a lot of new land to explore in Ishgard and quests to do. There are plans made for the long term of the story, so it might be that Heavensward part of the story is centered in Ishgard and further expansions may be centered back in Eorzea as a whole.
It also seems to me too many pending things, a cliffhanger to make us want to see what happens later. In a TV series you might want to be able to "kill" any character if the contract agreements don't go well, but in a videogame it is not like that, so you don't need to end a season with lots of characters in the risk of death.

Ishgard is a city state in Eorzea like Ul'dah, Gridania, and Limsa. It is not a new world, just a new land.
