Yeah, there is absolutely no reason not to remove class restrictions on glamour, other than SE's stubborn "We don't want to" - Confusing new players, they said. But people running around with huge, ridiculous snowman heads while wearing nothing but a bikini is somehow not confusing them or what? Get rid of those pointless restrictions and let people dress the way they want - for those people who want others to look like the classes they're on, all we need is a "Show glamours ON/OFF" checkbox in the options to turn all other people's glamours off on your screen and voilà!

Such a restriction should only exist for artifact armors, not for armors that can be equipped by several people and/or non-iconic armors. It's not my fault if someone sees me in, say, the Shikaree's Doublet as a Paladin, sees me holding a sword & shield, and somehow thinks I'm still a Bard.

I think of class restrictions as a kind of passive reward for playing specific classes.

The same reason why WHMs can't enjoy carrying around a huge bad-ass axe because it's only for bad-ass warriors. Dyed Acolyte is for healers, it's a reward for being a healer.

At least that's how I see it.

I don't think there's anyone there who'd want different class weapons to be glamourable, merely armors and clothes that should be obtainable by everyone.
